It's because he was a box-to-box mid today whereas in the previous two games he was the holding mid and it was pretty obvious he was instructed to not go forward in the first two games. He had good games in every role he's been given so far.

Would be hard to tell yet because Charly barely played with the U18 and U21 like Boga did. Charly only featured in the last 2-3 games of the season. He did look promising though, similar to Boga really but smaller and not as quick as Boga. We'll have a clearer understanding of Charly this season I feel because he should feature more, especially in games that get televised on Chelsea TV.

I disagree. We played against poor teams last 2 matches as well but our attack didn't look nearly as dynamic as it has today. Everyone has been heavily involved. Of this was a 4-2-3-1 then it would have been a pivot of Nat and MVG with Ramires or RW probably. And guaranteed it would not have looked this good. That lineup, I would only hope for an in form Hazard to get us this same scoreline.

I don't agree that speed is in any way related to volume of play. The way you defined volume of play, it simply just means workrate to me and to me workrate is all about the effort you put in. Unless he's unfit and lost stamina then he can regain his infamous workrate.

He is unbelievably talented. His close ball control and running with the ball is freaky good. Very elegant on the ball, similar to Iniesta. However, he has bad decision making, often he dribbles into amazing positions but makes the wrong decision. However, he's young and those things can easily be improved upon as he gets older, gets more experience and with good coaching. Def one to look out for.

Isn't there a rule that only top 80 or something countries as ranked by fifa can actually aid in this special talent work permit. If so, playing for Burkina Faso won't matter at all. He'd have to get a loan where the work permit criteria is different. National team involvement won't be enough.

Why would United sell him without a transfer request? He can wait till the last minute if he wants, he'll just end up staying at United in that case. They have no reason to sell him. He might sulk, but next summer is the world cup and before you know it he'll be back in the United team and working his ass off to make sure he's on form for the world cup.

Considering Rooney still hasn't put in a transfer request, I wouldn't be too confident about this move. I mean everything been said and done and the ball is clearly in Rooney's court. If he doesn't request a transfer then this move doesn't happen.

No one is criticizing his defending from a pre-season game, that would be stupid. His involvement yesterday just sparked a discussion about him. I would have made the same arguments 2 weeks ago, as would everyone else I presume.

While I think he has the tools to succeed this very season, I just hope it isn't to soon for him. Even a great talent like Oscar struggled in the PL. All the best to him because I do like the look of him.

Can't sign players (younger than 18) from a different continent to a pre-contract. He's currently on trial, been on this trial for like 2-3 years now, just biding his time till he turns 18 and can officially sign a contract. But, yeah effectively our player, just too bad he can't feature in competitive matches or go out on loan.
