Not happening. Some players just aren't good enough. Marin's best game he's ever played in his life and that's probably comparable to an average Moses game. I could understand if a player showed potential or the attributes to prove the doubters wrong but Marin possess nothing of the sort. We should sell him + money to Southampton for Luke Shaw.

Would Torres accept that move? No way Napoli can afford his wages and would Torres really take a pay-cut? The best we could hope for is that Torres gets as high terms he can possible get at Napoli and then we're stuck still paying him wages for the difference. That's really the only way I see this happening. Another thing you have to realize is that transfer fees are amortized and Torres still has 3 years on his contract which means 30M of his transfer fee still hasn't hit our books so if he's sold this summer that's really 40M for Cavani + 30M for Torres on our books. Although then Cavani's can be amortized but that's still a 30M lump-sum hit on the transfer budget by selling Torres alone.

Source? I thought it was just some false twitter quote.

I don't think we have to worry about loosing Courtois permanently to Athletico. Just think of it this way. Let's say he wasn't our player but was actually owned by Athletico for these past 2 years and next summer we came calling for him to be our new number 1. You think he would turn us down? He'd look at it as a step-up. Now if we promise him the number 1 shirt next year and then delay it and teams like Real and Barca come knocking then I can see that as a problem, but otherwise he'll be fine either with us or Athletico again since they are in Tier 2 in the club football. Real - Don't need a goalie for a while, Casillas still has plenty years. Barca - They need a goalie, but they'll address it this year so they should be out of the hunt for a while too. United - De Gea, young. Bayern - Neur, young. Who else would come knocking that really would be a considerable step up from Athletico? I don't see anyone. I dare say we can even wait 2 years and he'll still be fine with it.

I really don't think Marin is good enough. Piazon impressed me more in his very little time at Malaga than Marin did here. I'd reckon Marin gets loaned out or gets sold in a player exchange or something. I don't see a future for him here. Sure, he can play a carling cup game here and there but you're down 1 goal and Marin's on the bench, you ain't getting nothing worthwhile from him. His biggest asset is his dribbling but I don't think he has the confidence to hack it in the premier league. And whatever confidence he did have is probably shot to pieces now after the shocking first season. RW - Hazard, KDB, Moses, Oscar, Ramires CAM - Mata, Oscar, Hazard, KDB LW - Hazard, Mata, KDB, Oscar, Moses 4-2-3-1: 1. KDB - Mata - Hazard 2. Ramires - Oscar - Moses 4-3-3 1. Mata - ST - Hazard 2. KDB - ST - Moses Mou wants competition, Marin is no competition but Schurrle can be, so at a good price he'll be a good option for depth but that's assuming Oscar will be pushed back into midfield if we go with a 4-3-3, cause if not then we're probably fine depth-wise.
-
Think this just shows that Roman and the board have given control to Jose. Seemed like we were ready to send KDB on loan and bring in Schurrle but Mou walked in and told em to STFU and bring back the blonde sex-bomb (not to be confused with the blonde sex-bitch aka Torres).
-
I'm happy with Oscar in the midfield but not as a DM, way too far back imo and position requires positional discipline. I think we have to swtich to a 4-3-3. First choice: Mikel Ramires - Oscar Mata - Lukaku - Hazard Second choice: Romeu Essien - Lamps KDB - Ba - Moses
-
million people talked shit about the board before anything credible was reported about de bruyne, so i figured i bring it up for no reason again
-
omg the board is so fucking stupid
-
I'm going to miss it too Will be travelling for work. Someone please record it and have it for download please.
-
Schwarzer and Rob Green both available on free.
-
Spain vs Haiti - Charity Match, Spain with 2 goals already and both goals assisted by Mata

"Chelsea and Jose Mourinho have at a meeting where we clearly understand that Kevin returns to Chelsea for the new season," Reschke said: "Chelsea will definitely no longer lend the player - at any club. The thing is through - unfortunately. It was no longer possible for us to be coupled to a transfer with Andre Schurrle. " -Bayer's manager Michael Reschke
-
I have always despised him because of what he did to Ballack. Couldn't stand him here. Great player though and really would be a steal for the quoted price. But go somewhere else.
-
lukaku isn't good enough cause he shows no workrate and has poor attitude courtois isnt good enough because he conceded kdb isnt good enough because he was subbed off, obv cause he was shit hazard isnt good enough, he didnt even start, what a bum!
-
Courtois shoulda done better with that Kolarov free-kick. Btw, how underrated is that dude on free-kicks, never seems to miss.
-
if you're turning guys like KDB into RB then looks like you'll only settle for ronaldo and messi for your wings then, fair enough if the player at young age is still developing and has shown the tactical nous and the attributes to be played as a fullback but when you're an established member of your national team, even more so one of the best players and then turning him into a fullback makes absolutely no sense to me
-
lmao De Bruyne as a RB? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. He'll never play that position in his entire life lol.
-
Last I heard that he was very unlikely to feature tonight.
-
Give me a break, clutching at straws and maybe not even. How about throwing some responsibility his way? How about kids who end up at top teams after the age of 20? How did they get good enough without millions backing them? All Chelsea can do is give him opportunities to succeed and they've given him plenty. The rest is up to him.
-
Either play him in the centre or don't play him at all. He offers nothing anywhere else on the pitch. Was shocking in his little spell today, whereas Chalobah looked a class apart.
-
Chalobah and KDB are nothing alike, not sure how Chalobah comes into this discussion. Chalobah is a Ramires replacement. Whereas, KDB and Oscar if deployed in a 3-man midfield are Lamps replacement. Chalobah would never replace KDB and vice versa, they would play together if anything.

17M not so bad, thought it was 22M-24M before. Not so bad considering Moses was 12M with one year left on his contract. We do need a player like him and Moses, who can work wonders against lower level teams just willing to sit deep, so instances like that you want direct players instead of playing a heavy possession game through the middle. I'm glad KDB isn't involved but I still want confirmation that he will return to us, just don't understand why we are so desperate to send him out on loan. If he does go on loan then he'll be sold most certainly because it seems like we're just trying to hike up his price if he goes on loan, because it's obviously not to get him ready for Chelsea because he already is.
-
I couldn't give 2 fucks about what could get him into England's U21 team.
