I doubt it's a big deal at all. KDB only wore it for pre-season and he has no attachment to that number from previous clubs (unless I'm wrong). KDB probably wants Romeu's 6 or Malouda's 15.

If anything, it's probably the other way around. Torres seems like a timid person whereas Mata is one of the most friendly and outgoing personalities in the entire league. Mata will have no problem fitting in and being loved anywhere he goes or whoever he's with.

18M is meh to me. He's still young, we can even sell him after 4-5 years even and still make back 10-15M easily or even more if he develops more. Paying a little premium for young players isn't a big deal to me, if you trust in your team and coaches to develop the player further.

Oh I definitely agree with you. He does make silly fouls, I never argued that it wasn't a foul or even if it was a good play. I was just pointing out the double standards of commentators. All I ask is that if Luiz does something stupid, call him stupid but be consistent. And, if he does something good, compliment him just like you do for any other CB. If you're going to judge Oscar's influence using stats then you should just sell him now. Yeah he'll get the stats but he's more of an Iniesta (+Ramires ) type player, where he'll instinctively pass and move, and set the tempo unlike Mata who is so direct in the final third. Oscar should be judged on his passes, pass completion, his touches, his heat map showing how much he was involved. He is the man who will make the pass before the assist not necessarily the assist (that's Mata or Hazard most often). And, nothing wrong with this, this is where he's best at imo, at least better than the other 2 amigos imo.

It's funny when an "English" CB tackles hard and takes the ball and the man, the commentators say he was either going to take the ball or both and wasn't going to let the attacker get a sniff. I'm a big fan of this guy. He's more like Mata than Silva and Cazorla. I think he'll fit in great at both Real or City wherever he goes. Amazing dribbler imo, and has a great potential but I still don't see him reaching Mata effectiveness (not many can or ever will, hes a freak of a #10) in the final third, but he'll surpass Cazorla and Silva imo.
