I dont think resting players and having one eye on the next game is a good idea, its what Liverpool have done in the past and look at them now... We need to play consistantly good football in the league, if our form is good going into a midweek CL game then our confidence should see us through, we are strong enough to beat any team in Europe on our day, a good run of form can go a long way, resting players wont help that. Priorities for next season: 1. Premiership 2. CL 3. FA Cup 4. Whipping the Yids at White Hart Lane 5. League Cup

Oh I agree mate, we have come so close over the last 5-6 years, were due a bit of luck in the competition thats for sure lol. Premiership comes first though, always will IMO.

You sound like Rafa Benitez lol. I agree with Lamps, the Champions League would be great, and would put us among Europes elite, but I wouldnt sacrifice Domestic glory ahead of it though. Our double this year has been special, the Champions League is an added bonus if we can win it one year. IMO of course.

Very good player but that is alot of money for a player that hasnt played in the Champions League or World Cup (the later may change this summer though).
