Yeah I read that somewhere too. Im sure I read somewhere that he started off as either a right back or right sided midfielder and was told by Pele to try playing in the centre due to his athletisism, strength etc. Either way we have got ourselves a very versatile, young, hungry player!!!

And yes mate, the number 7 is/was mainly used as a right midfielders number but since the early 90's when squad numbers came in to football, 7 has been used all over the place. And I've done research on Ramires and he has played as a right midfielder during his time in Brazil, I cant remember where I was reading it, the source may have been wrong, if you would like to produce your own source of information to show he has always played in the middle then please do.

Cristiano Ronaldo is number 9 at Madrid FYI. 7 is a number for a right sided midfielder in my book, from what I know, Ramires started off as a right sided player, then was moved into the centre at Benfica. 4, 6, or 7 suit him just fine.

Anyone remember Joel Kitamirike? Played 1 game for us when he was 17 against Tel Aviv in Israel after some first team players refused to fly due to safety alerts or something, this was in (roughly) 2002/2003. Guess what he done since leaving CFC.... Played for Mansfield, Dundee, Weymouth, Chelmsford, and most recently, in 2008 served a year in jail for possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, since his release he hasnt found a new club. What a waste of a talent.

Was a walk in the park TBH, Paolo got skinned a few times though Great to see us pick up from where we left off last season at the bridge, great to see Lampard open his account for the season, also Drogba. Malouda was excellent, as was Essien. Only think that baffled me was not bringing on Sturridge. Bring on Wigan and Stoke.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Kakuta, we dont want to put too much pressure on his shoulders, yes he is talented, but let Carlo handle the situation, he seems to be protecting him, he will get his game time when the time is right.

No, players have their favourite numbers (Terry 26, Anelka 39 etc) but does it really affect much, other than shirt sales etc, not really. Why all the fuss? We all have special numbers, 25 means alot to Chelsea fans (Zola) but means nothing at other clubs, number 10 is the shirt of a play maker/stirker, some great players have worn the number (Pele, Maradona, Messi), it would be nice to see our starting 11 wearing the numbers 1-11 but does it really matter that much? With regards to Yossi, he wont set the world alight, but he will do a decent job for us when called upon, we have signed alot worse players in the past.

I used to love Celestine Babayaro as a kid, I play as a LB aswell and I modelled myself on him and Sauxy! Is he still playing? The last I heard was he had signed for LA Galaxy, played 1 game and was released!!

It is frustrating that Frankie is the one of the best free scoring midfielders in world football but doesnt get to play in his best position for England.
