I'm still fuming about our performance, in particular John Terry's. Cech - Excellent game, kept the score down Ferriera - Awful Terry - Awful Alex - Better than Terry Zhirkov - Got forward well Mikel - No comment Lampard - Couldnt impose himself on the game Deco - Was he even playing? J Cole - Fucking awful Malouda - Probably our best outfield player Drogba - Didnt look interested Ballack - Some neat passing Ivanovic - Steady, a welcome return Anelka - Should have just stayed on the bench The most embarressing thing yesterday was towards the end of the game our players throwing their toys out of the pram ie. Drogba pushing Huddlestone, Zhirkov kicking out, JT Diving in and pulling people down. Boys you better sort yourselves out, dont throw it away!!!

Yeah good point. We really need a good performance in our next game to take into the trip to Anfield. The Scousers ALWAYS up their game when Chelsea come to town and we need to be on form to get a result.

I think JT takes his place in the team for granted these days, he NEEDS to up his game. There is no denying that he loves the club, and he is a good defender, but some forwards have found him out pace wise (Defoe yesterday for example). I agree that I hope missing the next game will be a blessing, he can get his head straight ready for Liverpool. We all love JT, thats a given, but he has made TOO MANY mistakes this season, and he HAS cost us points (Everton away, Tottenham away). I want whats best for CFC, not whats best for John Terry.

Football is all about confidence, in our last 2 games we have had none, and after Utd beat Citeh, they will be on a high.

I know many CFC fans will have their rose tinted specs on with regards to this one, but while watching the game today me and my Dad (oxfordblues) both agreed that JT has been off the pace for a while now, this was evident when he missed the ball completely when challenging Defoe at 0-0 and promply pulling him back by his arm. And things didnt get better throughout the match for him, he was missing the ball, letting his man go time and time again (Defoe), making stupid challenges (both yellows) his pace has gone and his decision making was a joke today. There was no need for him to dive in on Bale when he was running AWAY from goal, and to try and claim he got the ball, come on JT, get a grip. Whats happened to him lately? is 'Mr Invinsible' losing it or is this just a dip in form? TBH, he is our captain, he should be leading by example, not letting nerves get the better of him and costing us points. Opinions...

That kind of money is ridiculous on wages for a player that isnt proven in our league, I think we learnt our lesson with Sheva. The top earners at our club have earned their high wages by proving to be world class players for us (Lamps, JT and Didier) even if the amounts were talking are stupidly high (thats modern football). Ideally, he should come to us on a reasonable wage, prove himself in the EPL etc and then he may deserve a pay rise.

I was working so didnt get to see the game, and havent found any highlights on Sky Sports etc so just watched a few clips on youtube. Our goals were all good goals, did JT mean to pick out Drogba for the first? LOL. Malouda's was a well worked goal and Lamps showed great composure for the 3rd. I dont think JT's tackle on Milner was a bad one, yes he caught him, but he went for the ball and got it, then caught Milner on the follow through. Didnt see AVFC's penalty appeal though.

Will Pompey be putting out a full strength team? Was reading that half the squad will be owed bonuses and what not due to clauses in their contracts if they play, let alone win, something they cant afford.

I think he is as good as, if not better than Obi Mikel and wouldnt be out of place as our defensive midfielder. Definately keep him.
