  1. just catching up on the CFC latest as have been away for a few days ...am pleased to hear we are atleast active in trying to get some width to our team now. DeBruyne/Hazard/Mata. either or all i`d be happy with..i know folks might say "all of them? we don`t need all of them" yeah we don`t need all of them but i`d swap DeBruyne,Hazard & Mata for Malouda,Kalou &Anelka in a heart beat and that`s not bringing in the fact we have already sold a wideman in Zhirkov already. have Sturridge as 3rd choice CF and 2nd or 3rd choice LF/RF
  2. poor journalism was around in 2003 too..not a surprise there. the majority of fans are realistic and understand that we are not the worlds number 1 national team anymore but support the team regardless. just like the Barmy Army have always stood by the England cricket team when they were far from the top..these fans may be rewarded in the future just like the Barmy army are now. i`m not expecting England to win a trophy in my lifetime. i never expected Chelsea to win anything in my lifetime nor England to ever be the number 1 ranked cricket side in the world either. life can be quite exciting and full of pleasant surprises when you expect nothing..i`m sure those who are most down on England at football these days are those who have had too high expectations in the past.
  3. i`ll avoid giving myself a stroke and just dismiss it as complete bullshit!
  4. i should imagine Andre gave him the option...i`m guessing Mikel wanted to play to try and escape from his current private hell for a lil while or because he thought it would be something his dad would want him to do. hope his dad shows up safe. p.s. i couldn`t read the link, for some reason my screen freezes when i click on links..so just going off what`s printed on here.
  5. i suppose next week could mean monday tho so not so bad..let the club concentrate on the game on sunday etc..
  6. blimey,we might have never seen you again..glad you home safe and had a great time. would love to see some photos mate,if you get a chance to upload some. oh and welcome back.!
  7. shop for sweets at marks & sparks..you better get out your best cutlery out if you invite dave over for dinner folks! those sweets appear to be nearly 6 years out of date tho...
  8. *hugs* Jim..we here if you wanna let some out. this is not a pain that will ease quickly but it will come in time..let those tears flow man, don`t fight them..it`s better in the long run if you let things out now or atleast soon as poss..it must have been hard for you to see your sis go through this too. love to all the family don`t know if you knew but i lost my son when he was a toddler ..so can kinda relate to the pain man. i hope you guys can face grief together i guess you`ve been trying to be strong for your sis and the rest of the family today...take some time out for yourself too mate. deepest sympathy
  9. ah i know it! yeah i was pretty central for the most part. Mister Coco`s was my drinking hole, they would welcome you to sign your name and leave a message on the walls inside there. i moved around alot,it used to be so easy to get a job out there and the pay was good. i was on about 900 guilders a week out there (about 300 pound) at 16,lots of parties. way too much money for a 16 year old to have and live a healthy lifestyle. after i found my footing out there,we ended up having quite a crew as mates would follow..one of the lads was a nightmare tho..couldn`t take him anywhere without him causing trouble..he was like begbie out of Trainsporting,we`d all be chillin` and he`d start something off, whatever country we went in..serious case of lil man syndrome. yeah first time i saw Terminator X i thought of P.E. yeah. me and my one mate, we were still in school at the time. it`s kinda shocking how young we were to be at the gig we weren`t that long into our Comp. school years. Kangol,Fila,British Knights...top clobber at the time it wasn`t Brixton academy, i was thinking of another show ,it was in the Hammersmith Odeon def jam tour `87. Public Enemy, LL Kool J, Erik B & Rakim it`s on my re-visit if we ever get a time machine list..
  10. they seem to go through fazes..the Paradise has changed hands lot`s over the years that time was in `92..last time i was there `09 they had changed the laws..they have had to downscale it ,the coffee shops and the red light area there used to be loads more than now back then..i ended up staying out there for 6 years. blues brothers used to be good..upstairs in a steak house..get the munchies then have to walk through a steak house. good business sense there..lol it was british owned..i used to like the king cobra but i think they moved away...the best place for solid was The Saint.. i would rarely have wighties but i had a huge one in there...the door way had those beads coming down from the door way and i somehow couldn`t get past these beads..the boss had to give me a push..i had smoked morrocan blonde, nepalese temple ball and a skunk and banana milkshake...listening to Cypres Hill..i was the only white dude in there..kinda like when i went to see public enemy in about 87/88 in brixton.
  11. nah but i was impatient to be.....i asked to go to the this particular hotel..ok it was the infamous Dora Hotel.. i aint proud but it`s cheap...and well i knew it was by dam square but looking through my passenger window i see it and he flicked the locks down and kept on driving,,he took me out into where all the morrocan community live out there down some deserted area ...then after a few tense minutes he started to laugh and just said he was just joking he`ll take me there now..i went straight to the paradise "cafe" that is opposite the Dora before i even booked in,i was wiped clean!lol got in there and there`s this tall blonde dutch babe in a green fishnet top on with like there`s tiny covers over her nips. but nothing else.serving up freshly baked space cookies.. i think i may have been creeping her out a bit because i was smitten by her, staring at her and kind of drooling literally after the second cookie.. by the time i got to the hotel only 10 yards away, when i went to book myself in ,i had to check my passport to find out what my name was. i can still remember the woman on reception say..don`t you know your name? as i was ruffling through my bags and rocking back and fore..
  12. yeah damn right spot on! out of all the sports forums i`ve been on ,i`ve never come across so many decent human beings. that was apparent from my first couple of weeks on here. usually they are full of purely "laddish" bravado but we can have a good conversation about the football, have a laugh and when we need them we get a hug too..sometimes all in the same day. funnily enough ,about half an hour ago somenoe was telling me they feel like humanity is dying..but then i told her i found some last year in probably the least likely place...a football fans forum.
  13. not as bad as cabbies in amsterdam..i`ve had a cabbie in amsterdam pretend to kidnap me...lol and others have handed their radio to me to talk to god...been driven round and round Dam square like about 20 times in one go...tho perhaps not so much bad than funny whilst doing it. i enjoyed all but the pretend kidnap..i was actually quite spooked then..it was my first cab ride in Amsterdam i was 16 and on my own .. the most annoying fookers are scouse cabbie tho..like most scousers they are full of gags...like most scousers they are the only ones who think their jokes are funny but they stil throw it at ya..can`t be fooked with them, and they are nosey fookers..
  14. the one trick pony Tories using the same tactics they used in the `80`s... "devide and conquer the masses of the working class,by turning communities against each other." and so many working class people are falling for it. they could have brought all the major cities in England to a standstill and made their point without setting fire to small family run businesses..without causing millions of damage that will have to be paid out of the government funding, meaning less chance of them getting back what they are claiming they done it for.... but more important than anything else, without the deaths of innocent people and screwing up the lives of those who loved them most and are left behind to try and get some degree of happiness in their lives that are now missing a vital part of it! but to me it`s like the second Holyfield v Tyson fight..not many people saw that Holyfield was constantly using cheap shot tactics during that fight to wind Tyson up..but when Tyson finally exploded and bit a chunk out of Holyfield`s ear, the public turned on Tyson because of the disgusting act he did and people didn`t want to know about what Holyfield was doing to provoke it. ( i was cheering on Evander in those fights btw but after watching the fight again shortly afterwards) what the youth should have done is sitdown protests around key buildings in London that the Government and any visiting foreign people of power.. use all foreign embassies based in London could be used too. block their entrances to these buildings, cleary show what they are protesting against with placards and banners. errect tents outside previous stated places, get together and bring plenty of food and non-alcohol drinks (don`t take any booze,it will only play into the Tories hands with their D&C tactics in the media) and prepare themselves for the long haul..do this in a determined but peaceful manner. the MLK way. do not hinder the lives of the general public, just the real enemy! test the patience of the Tories..poke them with the invisible stick and see how they react..they send in the big cops to forcefully move them on and the general public will turn on the Government instead of the youth like they have because they chose to act like animals instead. most battles these days are won through winning the battle for "hearts and minds" of the general public....as soon as the first innocent people were murdered ,the youth had lost the hearts and minds and whatever they say now and for the forseable future,it is not gonna change what the majority of the general public think of them. i`m for their cause but not their kind of "protest" it just totally played into the Tory hands and there`s probably more than a few of those smug blue Nazi bastards smiling to themselves as they pour themselves an all expenses fleeced, Cognac...thinking,not even her highness our beloved Mrs Thatcher pulled off the Tory trick so quickly. they thought it`s been hard to find jobs before, there`s over a thousand atleast who are very likely to go and turn back to crime when they get out of prison.now because they couldn`t think things through properly this week and chose anarchy instead of protesting peacefully. i wouldn`t send any of these rioters to normal prisons or young offenders ones...send them to the Glasshouse instead. where they won`t get raped by some of the current inmates, but they will have the bootcamp treatment and who knows,it might turn a few of them onto joining the army in the future. it would take the burden of where to house all of them off the regular prisons.
  15. thanks for the thoughts and support Lum,Blueschick,BlueLion,Kez and my favourite alien boy.. i can`t get in to see him at the moment, he remains in a critical condition but they have atleast managed to stabilize him for now so that`s something.
  16. thanks Lum i don`t think i`ll be around much if atall whilst this is going on now.
  17. well i`ve known for days, i was just waiting for somebody to ask....
  18. a dear friend of mine, kinda like my kid brother, has been in a car crash and they`ve already taken one of his legs off. he is 23..loves clubbing ,handsome lad, good home, good job... all gone..he was in the passenger seat and some bigger vehicle went into his side of the car..i don`t know the whole details yet. i should also state that it was only the last couple of years he has had that "good life "...he has crawled through his own personal private hell several times. i cannot think about God or anything like that, without getting tangled up and angry with it all..
  19. well done. i`ve heard it`s quite hard to learn. i taught myself dutch..wish i had used a tutor,it took me about 3 years from scratch..
  20. England continuing their thrashing of the current world`s best cricket team (India) on their way to becoming the worlds number 1 cricket team themselves in the next 3-5 days. the first time they have held that honour in my lifetime (35 years) the Sikh`s and their neighbours in Southall last night. fucking tremendous...not only did they stand by to protect their immediate community but you could still see the love in their eyes and in their general friendlyness towards all Londoners. .
  21. R.I.P. Stan. my gramp died during the season we won the league for the first time..i always think of that when one of the old `55ers pass away. my gramp was a shed end regular since the early 30`s and on the year we finally became champions of England, he died 2 months before we were crowned. thank you Roman for letting me see my beloved club become English champions in my life time. is why you won`t catch me getting over-emotional over a defeat or who we do or don`t sign...my dreams have already been answered.
  22. Toxteth has kicked off...took their time. 200 youths throwing "missiles" at the police. reminds me when somebody threw a "missile" at prince charlie...the missile in question?...an egg!
  23. i must say i`m impressed by the cops in Birmingham and Manchester. especially Manchester..they have been good at these sort of things for many years to be fair . they haven`t had to try and deal with what the Met have had tho i suppose ,but just giving a shout out to good policing when i see it.
  24. they calling that guy in Ealing who is in critical condition as middle aged now...but earlier said he is 67. police shot at in Aston.(Birmingham)
