with news that Porto have reportedly turned down the initial offer but the player is wanting to join us..porto not playing him appears to mean that the offer wasn`t that short of what they would accept for him and they think we are gonna come back with a better offer. the thing with Bertrand i hope SSN saying that he`s a wing back all the time isn`t getting in Ryans head. i didn`t read the report but on the SSN website yesterday on their papertalk section i saw "malouda says Roman was wrong to sack Carlo". don`t know if he was mis-quoted or not but if true that`s not gonna help him atall hope he goes if he said it or not..sure he`s better than Kalou but it don`t matter to me what order the dead wood leave aslong as they do.

it used to be a policy of Chelsea among many other teams not to let loaned out players play against their parent club,the F.A then made it into a ruling for all English teams. i`m not sure how it applies to English clubs in europe but i guess it`s the same..it is a good thing i think. say we signed DeBruyne,loaned him back to Genk. Chelsea plays Genk,the score is level and he scores an own goal that wins the game for Chelsea..he`d probably get lots of shit for that and probably be accused by some of doing it on purpose. it`s to avoid things like that happening that they do it for every team in England now.

it`s cool that you kinda knew him through a friend of a friend. Albert did play for Spain tho 36 times (his career ended in `99 ,a year after we signed him) and played in two world cups. something possibly not that well known at Chelsea is that Albert is a Gold medal Olympian winning it with the Spanish national team in 1992 in his hometown. .

i think it`s fair to say AVB knows him and his own vision for Chelsea better than any of us, so i hope he gets him.

i think i might be in the minority but ever since we went in for Mata i thought it would be to play him in the RF/RW . so even with this guy being brought in (if bid accepted) i still see a place for Modric or someone of his kind. i wonder if Kalou has cleared out his locker yet.. :eyebrows:

i think he could be great...i see him as being a diamond for us..just needs to polish up what should be his primary role in the team., keeping forwards quiet.! i`m sure he will get to be a better defender in time..needs to calm down a bit more at times and watch those wreckless challenges. he could have been sent off atleast once and in fairness,he should have really in that home game against Man U. he looked great going forward in that game,but we need to remember he`s supposed to be a CB. i got high hopes for him ,i just don`t want us relying too much on him by selling more solid players just yet because i don`t think Luiz is quite ready to be the rock at the back for us at this stage of his career. maybe in a few months he will have sorted out the wrinkles. .
