  1. don`t really know where you going with this if Clubs should not own boys what are you suggesting..we dont sign them till they are 18...or we should have kids in our academy who are free to go at anytime? of course we care about our young players...and of course we hear about them again..a very high percentage of academy players who don`t make the grade at top clubs get another chance in football somewhere else...it`s a shame for them that they get rejected but it`s business and being rejected by a top club is far from the worse thing that can happen to a kid.
  2. i can`t remember the name of the commentator here but he`s always been the same..Eurosport only have youth level football and sometimes African Nations..but i dunno..if i was paid to be a commentator i would do some proper research on the players first...he sounds like someone who doesn`t follow football atall..just done a media studies course or something. i could understand it more if it was some obscure sport in the Olympics..but it`s football ffs.. wish we had that Polish commentator Manuf.
  3. great play by Kakuta so far and not just the goal...i hate listening to that clueless twat of a commentator tho... "Kakuta yet to make an appearence for Chelsea in the Premiership" "Kakuta has zero chance of playing for the Chelsea 1st team"... "Kakuta one of those players lost in the system at a big club" etc...
  4. for folks who have Eurosport UK, the Coverage of the first game starts at 5pm UK time..England (w/Mellis) v Austria, followed by France(w/Kakuta) v Netherlands. just about to tune in now...good luck to all our fine young players taking part...
  5. is only Di Santo and probably Woods i would sell...don`t forget that although some of these guys are getting or are already too old for the youth team..we do have a reserve team and with a smaller first team squad this year..we need players plenty of capable youngsters in our reserves to fall back on or blood in when Carlo needs or wants them too. i think we gonna buy one more player before the window closes so this could change but at present, this is my list.. Loan:Sebek,Lalkovic,Conor Clifford. Sell: Di Santo,Woods Given Chances:Kakuta,Bruma,Mancienne,Cork,Hutchinson,Bertrand,Van Aanholt,Mellis,Borini,Mitrovic,Sala,Rajkovic. the names listed as given chances, are the ones i would give some first team appearences to this season...some i would give more to than others..but with the League Cup..i would give all of those a run out at some point and also sub appearences in the bigger competitions, when the game is already won..in cup ties against lower division opposition etc... Mellis wasnt involved this weekend because he`s in the under 19 England squad that kicks off their European Championship today..i`m sure he fits in with Chelsea`s long term plans. Manicenne..i`m not sure why he wasn`t involved yesterday..somebody did say but i`ve forgotten now.. McEachran i hope never gets loaned out...have him play more reserve team games this year,no youth games and start blooding him into the 1st team squad...i really don`t want him in the lower divisions where lesser talented players would just kick lumps out of him..at Chelsea we can control how much exposure he has and he can grow into his role rather than being thrown to the wolves 2 games a week,by a team who just want whats best for them in the short term duration of the loan, rather than whats best for Josh & Chelsea.
  6. it rules out the Ladyboy..not sure about ruling out Aguero tho
  7. Yesssss ...Bison scores!!!! lots of changes made..Lalkovic,Cork,Clifford &Hilario come on..Turnbull,Van Aanholt,Di Santo & Essien off..should have had a penalty after a foul on Sinclair..
  8. Bruma can do a job at RB certainly but would like to see him play at CB in the second half... Bertrand has looked good...Josh looked good early on but hasnt had much of the ball since, still only 17 so has looked good all things considering....Sturridge looked good, too greedy at times.. Di Santo, looks too desperate to do something that it`s made him look pretty poor at times. Matic,Essien & Mikel all done some nice stuff at time..still a bit rusty as is the team in general, but to be expected.
  9. Essien is back Essien is back woah,ooh.. nice shot ..shame about the bar..
  10. Bertrand just skinned his man then..Di Santo looking lively but also looking like someone in desperate need for a goal..
  11. sweet bit of skill from Josh then..and not a bad corner from him either..
  12. haha..if i lived far from work i could say im having trouble starting my car..but my house can be seen from my place of work,so that screws that one up..hopefully i`ll see plenty of good stuff before i leave tho..and they should have a re-run on Ctv if i miss anything..
  13. Cech Bruma Alex Van Aanholt Bertrand Mikel Essien Matic McEachran Di Santo Sturridge
  14. nice to hear the Chels have brought their singing voices..
  15. oh bollocks..kick off delayed till 3:15...i start work at 5, so gonna miss the last 15 minutes now..
  16. Blimey, Shipperley been knocking back the Kebabs since i saw him last....
  17. i guess i took your use of the word "decent" too literally. all due respect to those clubs ..but if Roman bought any of those teams i would expect all of the players to be loaned out with a view to selling them a.s.a.p.
  18. they probably just come to the realisation that they`ve got a really poor squad thanks to Rafa`s shambolic record in the transfer market and lack of talent coming through the youth ranks. Remy is a decent young player but not an out and out 20 plus goals a season striker.
  19. i think i should state again though..that i wouldn`t want Torres anyway.
  20. well i hadn`t heard that until now..i try to stay out of politics and that kinda stuff....but i`ve noticed there always seems to be a bit of doom talk when a country or countries get a major sports event held in their land for the first time, from football tournaments to the Olympics and things always seem to work out fine in the end....atleast in the case of the event taking place as planned.
  21. thanks for the inside information Manuf, an interesting read. i must admit when they announced that Poland & Ukraine were getting the European Championships..my first reaction was..oh fook, Sweden `92 all over again...but atleast for the games in Poland i feel a bit more relaxed now..tho if England play like they did in the WC, they won`t be out there anyway. that stadium looks pretty decent, fair play..
