Usain Bolt wants to play for Manchester United
Duppy Conqueror replied to Wilson's topic in Football Chat
if he ever played football in England the E.F.A would have to hire linesmen/women from a gang of crackheads. or hire a jacked up Ben Johnson just to keep up with him. no fooker else could! i suppose they could always make him wear heels or flip flops. maybe a snorkle and frog suit. tho flip flops seem the biggest hurdle for him..how you womenfolk can walk around in those is beyond me..every two strides one of them shoots off ya foot..wtf? my feet are just made for bovver boots and clarks i guess..am size 12. -
if you count the first few mickey mouse mini European Cups that they won in the early years.when not every nation sent a club (like Chelsea being the 1st english club to qualify to play in the EC, but didn`t bother ) they have won, what? 9 EC`s? even if he went there and won one with them,he`s gonna be merely a speck on the wall of their hall of fame, amongst the many, many football legends who have gone before him..with us he would be making history rather than the tail end of a long list. putting aside my love of CFC...wouldn`t what we have to offer be more appealing to a hungry to make history player?..we can`t offer him as much sunshine or perhaps wages, but we atleast have that.

belated happy b-day Carlo. looking forward to seeing you back in management and hopefully at a club who has atleast half your class, after your year off. maybe time to polish those 4 European Cup winners medals you have and spare some time for a lil chuckle over those who have stamped over decent people in their quest to get just one. i for one will be rooting for you as i have done with Claudio. aslong as it`s not against Chelsea.

comes across as a kid with a good head on his shoulders. which i think is half the battle when importing players from overseas..is not an easy thing for anyone to do,work in a country that is foreign to them, without a strong head and sense of direction..he would never make it..but it seems like he atleast has a punchers chance with us now.

played dutch football for two years from the age of 20-22 including one season in the top flight of a poor dutch team, just so others who may not know that fact aren`t mislead by your claim of having watched him playing "for years" in dutch football.. could name countless amount of players that weren`t that great at 20-22 but became great players in time. i said that he would make a good squad player,in part that was due to the fact that he can play multiple positions for us..has a lot of integrity and good work ethic if every person from asia i`ve known is anything to go by. seems like the kind of player who would still be fighting when we losing games, right up until the final whistle..can be part of a well oiled machine who is also capable of getting goals out of nothing by himself..i can`t say the same for some of our players in both those situations. i wasn`t comparing Honda and McEachran as similar in style of play..just the fact that i believe they would be best suited to play the same position which is not always the same role. Honda can fill in in far more positions than any of our current squad members can (with Cork almost certainly gone). he`s not an all conquering world XI player but i`m not claiming that. am surprised that with all the borderline offensive things i`ve said on here during the last year, that during that time you are the first person on TC who has ever given me Neg Rep and for something as mild as me rating players higher than you do. it`s been 13 years since i was a dutch citizen myself i guess i forgot how serious over trivial shit you guys can be.

when Roman arrived if you guys recall it was like he had bought the club for his son, can`t remember his name exactly, something like Arkan, then the kid just disappeared from view...at times since Roman has owned the club, some of the decisions have seemed like they have been made by a spoilt child..and i`ve often wondered if it was the kid telling his dad..buy me him daddy..etc..

quality player,is good enough for Chelsea(as a squad member),just i wouldn`t play him as a "number 10" as he i think would be better as the left side of midfield in a diamond or in a 3 man midfield, the position that Josh should end up playing....i`ve not written off Yury yet though,i think if Guus returns we will see the best of Yury so Honda would be back up for a lot of positions but i don`t see him becoming a long term regular starter for us,albeit a very valuable squad member.
-
no need for that..he`s been a pike in a lil pond at those clubs, always wishing he was somewhere else..he`d be like a perch at out club, happy to be there and acutely aware that if he should try it on,he`d get chewed the fuck up by the big fish in our squad. as it goes tho personally,i think we have enough moody enigmatic frenchmen in our squad as it is so unless i knew for sure Anelka & Malouda were on their way out. i`d rather us pass on him and go for a player with a more roll up the sleeves and get stuck in attitude when we are up against it,rather than one with a fragile mental state who shrinks and fades away as soon as the shit hits the fan.

my own memories of Gus. can remember when he was first introduced to the SB Faithful in that big sandy coloured coat..i was right at the back of the east upper and still thought fook he`s a big boy..i guess it was just because we so many little players at the time tho like Ernie,Zola,Jody Morris,Myers etc.. going to a rave the night before a chelsea game against newcastle and me and my mate still being off our faces,Gus scored the only goal in a 1-0 win and me and my mate just getting shall we say "emotional" over Gus to the point where others must have surely known we were off our faces. up at Everton in a 0-0 draw..we couldn`t get in the away end so went "undercover" in the main home stand opposite from the away end...Gus was running to try and stop the ball go out for a throw-in and Richard Dunne flew in double footed on him ,then Gus went flying.totally uncalled for..which resulted in me having a moment of torrets and shouted "you dirty scouse cunts". whilst surrounded by about 9,000 scousers..haha. Dunne got sent off, later on in the game Wise got sent off..and after that me and my two mates must have been steaming because we just spent the last 20 minutes singing Chelsea songs. still havent got my head around the fact we didnt get our heads kicked in that day..i guess they must have thought we were a bit mental or that we were part of a bigger group of Chelsea boys,i dunno.. scored some great goals in Europe and Prem.. he might have soiled himself a lil by playing for the white shite but he`ll always have my love.

is a shame you can`t give us more insight, seeing as you have probably seen him more than most of us on here. so far your comments have just sounded like those from a fan who supports a rival team to the one this player currently plays for. if not, then why do you hate him?

The TalkChelsea Twitter transfer Tweets thread
Duppy Conqueror replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Transfer Archives
i should imagine FreddieBoswell is a scouser..as that is the name of a character from "bread" a popular sitcom in the `80`s based in Liverpool. not to say whatever he says isn`t true..but so you know it is probably a liverpool fans views. -
ah,so there`s a device to show off your shooting skills...just another machine made to make me look inadequate... in all seriousness, that sounds like a great device for the kids.

until we sort out the real problems with the club,no manager will last very long..if it isn`t the results on the field it will be because he isn`t a yes man. sometimes i wish Stan Kreonke was taking over our club..he will give the manager whatever he needs, without overpaying and will not interfere in things he is not qualified in. in St.louis he is known as silent Stan.

JT loves us so much he`s even got a boner for us.:eyebrows:

to get back to Josh: i don`t understand why folks want us to hold him back, claiming he`s not ready (i presume due to his age) what exactly is the worse that can happen? there are young men(and women) the same age ,sometimes even younger than him currently on patrol in several countries where every step could be their last. experience turns a boy into a man..not just waiting around until a particular birthday comes along. there are 40 year old boys in this world and there are 16 year old men. i don`t like the idea of loaning him out either..nor for that matter ever playing another youth game. he is ready to become atleast a regular squad member and i don`t want a loan move with a manager who plays a different way and uses him without his prolonged career in mind.
-
why because you got a man crush on him? you said he was better than both Mourinho and Ancelotti. you can`t get away with saying an unproven manager in the best club tournament in the world is better than two guys who have won it twice each. that`s a big disrespect, not suggesting that your beisla would be another scolari. which has some substance to it!! Scolari isn`t a mug ya know..just wasn`t cut out to manage a european club side. he was unproven at european club level as is Beisla...succesful at managing a south american national side..just like Beisla.

And that's why we love Salomon Kalou
Duppy Conqueror replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i love marmite so much if the last jar ever got spread on a tramps arse,i`d chew that arse up without hesitation. as for Kalou..i`ll save that for after the Cup Final...Come on Bobby Huth and Stoke City. -
i would be interested in doing articles on former players, past seasons etc at CFC. don`t know if that would be something you`d be looking for...but i have always had a passion for history and would enjoy sharing my knowledge both second hand and first with others..especially with our younger fans. the frequency of the articles i submit would have to be flexible though...i currently have nothing on the horizon other than i`m off to Norway shortly but due to career plus some as of yet incurable lifelong health problems..i sometimes have to go to hospital for some treatment, which can result in me being away for upto 2 weeks at a time. i don`t sound like an ideal candidate i know...just throwing my name in the hat and been completely honest rather than saying i can definately do something when it`s not really that simple. maybe we could have a thread where we can post articles on here and folks can recommend that it be posted up on the front pages, based on the quality of it.

would be the most devastating event i`ve experienced as a Chelsea fan. i guess it would reopen the doors for the fans who followed us through the real tough times but have been squeezed out the door in recent years due to having to pay "tourist prices" these days. also,we should have a row of seats reserved only for servicemen/women. so that when they aren`t on duty they can feast on the banquet that is following Chelsea these days. they are giving up a lot for us and being able to watch their beloved Chelsea a few games a season shouldn`t be one of them! it will be such a sad day for me though for many reasons..my grandfather died the year before we won our first championship in `55..after going to the bridge since 1930,i didn`t ever meet him, only have one photo of him,he died when my dad was 4 so for us going to the bridge where he used to spend so many hours is kinda sacred for my dad.

he can go and play for Arsenal, with the other shrinking violets and play out the rest of his career with lots of praise every year from the media but only the odd cup runners up medal every 2-3 years.

Zola's possible return to Stamford Bridge?
Duppy Conqueror replied to crazy1's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Arrigo Sacchi (arguably the greatest italian coach of all time ) =Attack minded as are/were Vialli,Ancelotti,Zola,Di Matteo.. just a few who broke the stereotypical italian coaches mold.
