  1. some youth in squad atleast..Bran was always gonna take the 4th CB choice ,we only have 2 other fullbacks with Kalas loaned out prematurely. might have been papy`s dream but papy has only just joined whilst some who aren`t included have been at the club for years, being under used and forced to move all around England and Europe waiting for just a chance to make any kind of game time.
  2. what I think it will be,not what I`d do. we win 2-1 JT and Costa, for them Barklay 4-3-3 Courtois Azpi Zouma Terry Baba Ramires Matic Oscar Pedro Costa Hazard Subs Begovic Willian Fabregas Cahill Falcao Kenedy Ivanovic
  3. If we were just judging on what our loaned out do with other clubs than us,coached by different managers, then Salah would have been around this year. Pasalic will be back and Kalas whose loan to Koln was a big low point but why they decided to loan out a player and give him no time is abit of a mystery but he has become a key player for Boro.and I don`t think anyone wouldn`t rather have him at RB or RB and CB depth than Bran. and looked really smooth and impressive whenever I`ve seen him play, including in the first team. Van Ginkel is starting every game. Bamford or Solanke I`m pretty sure atleast one of those will make it with us at some point ,Bamford will have to be sooner..Solanke hopefully not too long,we aren`t sending these kids to war like many people their age.just on a football field where many have failed.no shame but lets see what we actually got instead of presuming shit like.."won`t be ready for atleast 2 more years" Mosunda I don`t know is he on loan..I've lost track? talented..if given a chance. we can`t really judge if any of them will be given a chance..talent does not seem to be an issue. just a cowardice to try something new from our decision makers. atleast RLC,Traore,Baba and Kenedy should atleast have a sniff between now and the winter window. not all will make it because those talented enough to deserve a chance at some stage have been held back overdue and now if we gave all that deserved a go..we would have about 7 youngsters. we currently have something like 13 or 14 internationals on loan..it`s a disgrace really..footballs legal version of human trafficking.
  4. we`ve had worse windows...a lot worse..just worst for a few years. that is magnified due to the good players we have playing exceedingly shitty at present. only one player I see as done (Bran) and one who looks like it should be his last season but he`s such a mentally strong character he may even be able to come back a lil (JT) Baba,Begovic,Pedro, maybe Kenedy can be a diamond in the rough..some youth getting a shot. Papy the wildcard..and would have been much better if we got Stones as he could start more games than a 4th choice stop gap but hey ho.. worst things happen at sea.. the old chap in my signature is my granddad..a Chelsea fan from the late 1920`s who went through Dunkirk,Africa,Singapore,Normandy,Burma etc.. the full 6 years in WW2 as he was already in the army prior to it starting. he died a few weeks before Chelsea won their first title in `55 . I keep his photograph there to remind me to keep things in context. as much as I love Chelsea as much as anybody..we are screaming out of fear when we are merely taking a detour through the shitty part of a pleasure park.
  5. in the past we have overpaid,,usually by 10m for players.sometimes less.. but Man City paying so much for Sterling and De Bruyne..instead of having the option to get cheaper deals for not yet fully developed stars..you got to pay the price on the presumption that they will reach their full potential. we had the same problem with Stones..good player,i`m more sure about him being a top player at his position than atleast Sterling but twice the price we should be paying. in the past what was paid for them meant world superstars at the top of their game. there`s more money coming in but the prices are shooting up for the same things teams would have paid half for only a year or two ago.so we aren`t really gaining better depth when we pay 40m for potential where as we could have got 2 players of that standard a year or two ago. the TV deal will help the premiership be a tougher competition and if we continue to rely on signing players instead of our own youth players.we will get to a stage where our squad is entirely made up of foreign players with very few English players playing in the champions league atall. like Fergie said a few years ago..it`s not the prices for the top stars that are the problem..it`s the 15-20m for a nobody. they all add up.
  6. the main body of the interview is about him never seeing himself score as many as Ronaldo and Messi and that`s fair enough..those two are the players their teams are built around and the supporting cast is there to provide them with as many chances to score. and lets face it in Spain there`s only 3 or 4 teams who even challenge them to a game.the rest of the league is like public training sessions against their reserve team or worse. I do think we should have one player who roams freely. Eden and Oscar would be my candidates. but it would take a lot of changing the team to put him in a position to score the high number of goals they score. he`s more of an assistant to Costa. I would like to see him float around and attack different areas because I think it would drag the enemy defenders around and create openings for others but I only see him scoring a maximum of 30 goals in a season. as for the sometimes I score one goal and I think that`s enough...I think the Belgian players in general suffer in interviews because they are too open at times and don`t explain themselves fully because they may not understand how things they say can be taken. i take it as him saying he needs to learn to be more ruthless if he wants to score like Messi and Ronaldo do and what he doesn`t say is but I see that as enough for my own personal glory..he lays balls off for others instead of going for his own limelight. what would Ronaldo or Messi say if they were so open? I have mirrors on my ceiling so I can watch myself wank over my greatness after scoring a hat trick all by myself against Celta Vigo..who knows..
  7. good point Blue Coloured Sky. the 2 signings in the last 24 hours. the stop gap guys.they could be seen as panic buys but at that point if we had splashed big money, then we would either lose our true targets in the future or players like Zouma and say whoever out of our midfield.. RLC or another midfielder may make us change our mind on needing Pogba but Stones still remains a target..hopefully Everton have a shitty season.Martinez gets sacked or quits and we get Stones for a better price.i do think Martinez was the cock blocker..Kenwright is more a realist..even tho he made his money in show business.
  8. Shame we have yet to see some of it spent on our players. Tho our club partly to blame. Should be more insistent on transfer fees for the likes of Cuadrado and Salah even tho i kinda like the latter.doesn't appear he has a future with us after a good loan and he's back out.
  9. I think Juve would want him if he was a free transfer. Italian clubs do like their cheap deals these days..loans and cheap deals, atleast when it comes to our players. Different from the 80's and 90's when they were the financial power houses.
  10. if a kid is sent out to new foster parents once or twice a year for 3-6 years his/her chances of developing into a well rounded adult are not as high as if someone adopted them, gave them consistent guidance and the chance of a home for the next 10 years. we have been too quick to do the former, but so reluctant to do the latter. even as fans I see folks will say they are not completely convinced in our young players which is fair enough but we don`t have to be completely convinced..just give them a chance,gradually..like we should with all new players to the squad regardless of if they are youth or new signings. will atleast be able to judge if they actually need a loan or to stay in our squad.
  11. Oscar is our tempo setter, our risk taker..our bongo drum..
  12. the 3 CB`s we let go on loan have more international caps than the 2 we bought..even tho they are younger, play for nations with better competition of talent and no longer would command a transfer fee..oh and 2 of them can play RB too. (even if you go 2 v 2..the young players we loaned out have more) the biggest gripe I have is that we should have wrapped up deals for players to improve our defense early into the transfer window and held onto atleast Kalas and Kenny O until they were brought in or kept them around where now they would be more useful to us than what we got in that department ( CB and RB) it remains to be seen how good Baba will be..our season kinda depends on if Jose will finally drop Branislav and that Baba can hit the ground running at LB with Azpi at RB but even if that happens a longterm injury to either would leave us in trouble. the midfield I would have switched things around a little but including getting Pedro and Kenedy and giving RLC and our other youth still with us atleast a chance of some game time. I`m not too bothered about our midfield because I think those currently out of form will regain it in that department and we will have improved there overall with the additions and Oscar when he returns to the team. back up Goalkeeper we got pretty much the best that was available and an adequate number 2 that when we have to rely on him, won`t cost us games on his own. like the keepers I think upfront remains our least area of concern along with Azpi. not in top form but showed that when given a chance they are not woefully out of form like our midfield and defense. the board hasn`t done great but I think their performance is better than Jose and our veteran team so far this season.
  13. I think it`s probably his last shot at turning the tide and one day becoming a player with us..it`s an extreme long shot tho as we have put the development of our youth in the hands of other coaches with other agendas to what is best for their development into future players for Chelsea. not every young player should be loaned out.none should be loaned out more than twice.preferably only once. there should be atleast 2 or 3 young players given the chance to break into the first team squad every season with the calibre of young players we have. this year will be the first time since the late 90`s we have given that many a chance.
  14. Queen released the song in 1977.since then Chelsea have been league champions of England 4 times.Everton 2. So no they haven't Even going back as far as post World War 2 we have been league champions of England 5 times to their 4. they haven't won a trophy ,not even a domestic cup for 20 years. Sunderland have been champions of England more times than us but haven't been champions since 1936 and Villa have been champions more times but only once in the last 105 years. Only scousers hold onto such ancient history to think they are still bigger than us.
  15. he only has one year left on his contract if I recall correctly, I think teams will either wait for that to run out or try for a cut price deal in the winter window.
  16. in the long run the disaster of this window may turn out to be a longterm blessing. it would take a lot of typing and I`m off out in a minute so hope folks can see why that could be the case.but basically it could make us rethink our transfer policy and make us use the young talent instead of shipping them out to be replaced by "end products" because teams aren`t letting us poach their best talent as easy as it was before.
  17. the Tottenham and Arsenal way..they also in the past have not only bid for players they have no chance of getting but have sold key players too late to sign replacements..hopefully we don`t copy the latter aswell.
  18. Wales top their group ahead of Belgium.maybe we should have been bidding on James Chester.Wales haven`t conceded in the last 3 games including two games against Belgium. wouldn`t have been my number 1 target but I`d say better than we have bought/look to be buying the last 24 hours..HG.
  19. Palace clearing the way for Bamford to have more game time.looks like Glen Murray and Dwight Gayle are on their way out.
  20. well that kinda opens the door a little even if it remains an extreme long shot..they could replace him with somebody like N`Kolou..not in qualiy I know but if the price is right. still too late to pull off methinks.
  21. what alternatives would they (PSG) have for depth? bearing in mind they can`t buy anyone themselves until next window..this just seems too late to happen now.
  22. I`m getting the vibe due to not only bad start, but infighting and the board`s lack of success in getting transfer targets that can make a difference which has turned into shopping at poundland. that Jose may not be here much longer. hope it`s not true but all indicators are pointing that way..we don`t tend to come together when under pressure,we start firing coaches.
  23. Horsham,Havant & Waterlooville,Dundalk,Thurrock,Didcot Town,Bracknell Town,Barnet..some real European power houses on his CV...
  24. another 6`4 CB. I guess we are gonna attempt to defend crosses rather than attempt to stop them. we sent better options out on loan for our back 4 than we are signing it seems to me. we have loaned players out to the championship and to leagues like the French and despite those players doing well at that level,we loan them out again, whilst now deciding to buy players from that level.
  25. Soon find out. I'm a 4-1 down away from home,15 minutes to go,we can still do this kind of guy...
