the 3 CB`s we let go on loan have more international caps than the 2 we bought..even tho they are younger,play for nations with better competition of talent and no longer would command a transfer fee..oh and 2 of them can play RB too. (even if you go 2 v 2..the young players we loaned out have more) the biggest gripe I have is that we should have wrapped up deals for players to improve our defense early into the transfer window and held onto atleast Kalas and Kenny O until they were brought in or kept them around where now they would be more useful to us than what we got in that department ( CB and RB) it remains to be seen how good Baba will be..our season kinda depends on if Jose will finally drop Branislav and that Baba can hit the ground running at LB with Azpi at RB but even if that happens a longterm injury to either would leave us in trouble. the midfield I would have switched things around a little but including getting Pedro and Kenedy and giving RLC and our other youth still with us atleast a chance of some game time. I`m not too bothered about our midfield because I think those currently out of form will regain it in that department and we will have improved there overall with the additions and Oscar when he returns to the team. back up Goalkeeper we got pretty much the best that was available and an adequate number 2 that when we have to rely on him,won`t cost us games on his own. like the keepers I think upfront remains our least area of concern along with Azpi. not in top form but showed that when given a chance they are not woefully out of form like our midfield and defense. the board hasn`t done great but I think their performance is better than Jose and our veteran team so far this season.

I think it`s probably his last shot at turning the tide and one day becoming a player with us..it`s an extreme long shot tho as we have put the development of our youth in the hands of other coaches with other agendas to what is best for their development into future players for Chelsea. not every young player should be loaned out.none should be loaned out more than twice.preferably only once. there should be atleast 2 or 3 young players given the chance to break into the first team squad every season with the calibre of young players we have. this year will be the first time since the late 90`s we have given that many a chance.

Queen released the song in 1977.since then Chelsea have been league champions of England 4 times.Everton 2. So no they haven't Even going back as far as post World War 2 we have been league champions of England 5 times to their 4. they haven't won a trophy ,not even a domestic cup for 20 years. Sunderland have been champions of England more times than us but haven't been champions since 1936 and Villa have been champions more times but only once in the last 105 years. Only scousers hold onto such ancient history to think they are still bigger than us.

he only has one year left on his contract if I recall correctly, I think teams will either wait for that to run out or try for a cut price deal in the winter window.

in the long run the disaster of this window may turn out to be a longterm blessing. it would take a lot of typing and I`m off out in a minute so hope folks can see why that could be the case.but basically it could make us rethink our transfer policy and make us use the young talent instead of shipping them out to be replaced by "end products" because teams aren`t letting us poach their best talent as easy as it was before.

the Tottenham and Arsenal way..they also in the past have not only bid for players they have no chance of getting but have sold key players too late to sign replacements..hopefully we don`t copy the latter aswell.

Wales top their group ahead of Belgium.maybe we should have been bidding on James Chester.Wales haven`t conceded in the last 3 games including two games against Belgium. wouldn`t have been my number 1 target but I`d say better than we have bought/look to be buying the last 24 hours..HG.

well that kinda opens the door a little even if it remains an extreme long shot..they could replace him with somebody like N`Kolou..not in qualiy I know but if the price is right. still too late to pull off methinks.

what alternatives would they (PSG) have for depth? bearing in mind they can`t buy anyone themselves until next window..this just seems too late to happen now.

I`m getting the vibe due to not only bad start,but infighting and the board`s lack of success in getting transfer targets that can make a difference which has turned into shopping at poundland. that Jose may not be here much longer. hope it`s not true but all indicators are pointing that way..we don`t tend to come together when under pressure,we start firing coaches.

I guess we are gonna attempt to defend crosses rather than attempt to stop them. we sent better options out on loan for our back 4 than we are signing it seems to me. we have loaned players out to the championship and to leagues like the French and despite those players doing well at that level,we loan them out again,whilst now deciding to buy players from that level.

Soon find out. I'm a 4-1 down away from home,15 minutes to go,we can still do this kind of guy...

I`m wondering if Jose now has a thing against signing Belgians..we seem to sign nationalities in waves it seems at times and the number of Belgians coming seems to have dried up. should certainly atleast see what they want for him. now that the big clubs on the mainland can`t buy any more till the next window, a cheeky bid might pay off.

our season rests on if Bran continues to play at RB. The rest of the under performing I have faith in will return to form sooner than later.

hope it`s more than they can afford. option to buy should only be with players we tried to sell first before the loan. players we no longer want.

I`m thinking Jose`s logic is too many goals are coming from crosses so we need taller Center backs..instead of dropping the RB who is allowing LW`s to cross whenever they feel like. the problem with people that are highly intelligent is they often lack common sense.

atleast I`ve heared of him before. had a decent year at Roma I hear.

Leboeuf,Azpi,Essien,Malouda,Drogba,Gallas,Cech..all great at some point,some longer than others..also some young players who either haven`t panned out yet or are elsewhere now. Laurent Charvet the last player signed from Nantes by us if I recall correctly.. wasn`t the best but adequate depth at times. edit: no he was from Cannes.
