  1. well..they were in form in August. the European juggernauts Morecombe and Bury brought them down to earth. Should never take any opponent lightly, other than in team selection to give youngsters and understudys some game time.
  2. don`t think I`ve seen him play so.. pros-it would surely mean no more Bran at RB..with him and Rahman at LB. Azpi can go to RB permanently and Kalas or Kane can be his understudy. cons-he`s a young Spaniard and there`s always the risk of him having "that dream" that young Spanish players often have.aswell as those from South America,Portugal sometimes..
  3. The season we had so far i'm not looking for anything to complain about.we need wins more than anything else. Man City lost..some members can stop crowning them champions 8 months before the season ends now. West Ham are looking great on the road..Arsenal,Liverpool and Man City all beaten in their own stadium by them and they lost at home to Bournemouth..mad times for the hammers.
  4. Drogba just did that in the European cup final when we needed all players on the field he chose to bitchslap Vidic.
  5. good day for Chelsea fans. Chels beat Arse..Man City lose and De Bruyne scores. bit for every fan and for Talk Chelsea we can have a break from some members queing up to suck Manc dick and crown them champions 8 months before the end of the season. West Ham should play all games away.on the road they are playing like champions.
  6. we sold the best finisher in world football in 1961 when he was 21,already scored 124 top flight league goals for us (366 top flight league goals overall in his career) and never wanted to leave. we would have to let Pele go at 17 to top that for being the most stupid decision in Chelsea fc history.
  7. nobody is worth anything they are paid in football apart from tea ladies.. he is not the consistently great player/robot it seems ours are expected to be with no room for homsickness, fatigue or any other natural human temporary weakness tho.
  8. I`m just looking at us getting into some good form, the rest will take care of itself. the talk of what silverware we have already supposedly lost is extremely premature tho. I`ve no desire to predict where we will be next month, let alone in 8 months time. back in the day when Forest were putting 7 past us at the city ground..we started singing always look on the bright side of life...football is taken too seriously now...
  9. if he went on loan if we had injuries or further periods of bad form he wouldn`t be around to take the chance to shine..somebody else might and force him further down the pecking order. he`s around if needed..he should get a chance at some point. in the league cup I don`t think we should play too many youngsters, but say 3 or 4..they need to show what they can do with first teamers really.where as if we played with a team full of youth if it doesn`t work we are in danger of throwing the baby out with the bath water and they deemed never to be good enough. I would certainly give him a start tho against Walsall.
  10. I`m mostly just disappointed we were so close to getting rid of Mikel at this point...
  11. I've been saying the same things as you are saying since i joined 5 years ago and before in other places. Just pointing out the fact that those who makes the calls don't have a history of giving youth a chance. At present we have atleast RLC on the fringes. Some Foreign kids with potential too.all we can do is see how it pans out. Wouldn't mind some of the deadweights like ramires, mikel and ivanovich having niggly injury problems.i believe in Oscar.not consistent but a key player when on form, gives us something we lacking.but i'm heading to bed now so leave it at that for tonight.
  12. Owner with a track record of being impatient during lean spells,a coach who is also impatient..they will need to be in a mutual agreement with making an effort to integrate RLC,Solanke,Baker etc... or it's not gonna be so easy and with some english not ready and foreign "homegrowns" more ready in some cases. And Jose possibly fighting to save his job..Fergie and Wenger were safe in their jobs to survive the odd bad year.I think most of the regulars at games would support it, i'd probably take a break from chelsea forums for a few years tho..some fans expect constant success and ,want huge money transfers and see 3 rd or 4th as not ever acceptable and i can't be bothered with that. Stones i think and hope will remain a target,he's more ahead than our own english at this point and he fits the bill as somebody to build around where as some of the other english lads we already have there are still doubts in where to best play them. Josh never really had a defined position for us for an example.even if he had been nurtured properly. RLC the nearest but still a learning curve ahead.
  13. Ask a bayern fan what they would think if there were no german in the team or barcelona, real madrid if no spanish. Jose himself has said every team should have a core from the nation they play in.Stones was targetted above others because he's a good possible future great but also because he's english.
  14. He won back to back league titles with it in the past for us so it's not foreign to him and not much different than the 4-2-3-1. The 10/ false 10 comes from a deeper position, spends more time on build up play than coming back from a higher position, good for counter attacking..Pedro and Hazard play more or less the same as now. Matic DM. Ramires tracking Barkley and peeling off for counter attacks. Oscar setting the pace and feeding the front 3,fullbacks won't need so much secondary help with athletic ability and Everton not having much width.4-3-3 suits more of our players named in that team.
  15. some youth in squad atleast..Bran was always gonna take the 4th CB choice ,we only have 2 other fullbacks with Kalas loaned out prematurely. might have been papy`s dream but papy has only just joined whilst some who aren`t included have been at the club for years, being under used and forced to move all around England and Europe waiting for just a chance to make any kind of game time.
  16. what I think it will be,not what I`d do. we win 2-1 JT and Costa, for them Barklay 4-3-3 Courtois Azpi Zouma Terry Baba Ramires Matic Oscar Pedro Costa Hazard Subs Begovic Willian Fabregas Cahill Falcao Kenedy Ivanovic
  17. If we were just judging on what our loaned out do with other clubs than us,coached by different managers, then Salah would have been around this year. Pasalic will be back and Kalas whose loan to Koln was a big low point but why they decided to loan out a player and give him no time is abit of a mystery but he has become a key player for Boro.and I don`t think anyone wouldn`t rather have him at RB or RB and CB depth than Bran. and looked really smooth and impressive whenever I`ve seen him play, including in the first team. Van Ginkel is starting every game. Bamford or Solanke I`m pretty sure atleast one of those will make it with us at some point ,Bamford will have to be sooner..Solanke hopefully not too long,we aren`t sending these kids to war like many people their age.just on a football field where many have failed.no shame but lets see what we actually got instead of presuming shit like.."won`t be ready for atleast 2 more years" Mosunda I don`t know is he on loan..I've lost track? talented..if given a chance. we can`t really judge if any of them will be given a chance..talent does not seem to be an issue. just a cowardice to try something new from our decision makers. atleast RLC,Traore,Baba and Kenedy should atleast have a sniff between now and the winter window. not all will make it because those talented enough to deserve a chance at some stage have been held back overdue and now if we gave all that deserved a go..we would have about 7 youngsters. we currently have something like 13 or 14 internationals on loan..it`s a disgrace really..footballs legal version of human trafficking.
  18. we`ve had worse windows...a lot worse..just worst for a few years. that is magnified due to the good players we have playing exceedingly shitty at present. only one player I see as done (Bran) and one who looks like it should be his last season but he`s such a mentally strong character he may even be able to come back a lil (JT) Baba,Begovic,Pedro, maybe Kenedy can be a diamond in the rough..some youth getting a shot. Papy the wildcard..and would have been much better if we got Stones as he could start more games than a 4th choice stop gap but hey ho.. worst things happen at sea.. the old chap in my signature is my granddad..a Chelsea fan from the late 1920`s who went through Dunkirk,Africa,Singapore,Normandy,Burma etc.. the full 6 years in WW2 as he was already in the army prior to it starting. he died a few weeks before Chelsea won their first title in `55 . I keep his photograph there to remind me to keep things in context. as much as I love Chelsea as much as anybody..we are screaming out of fear when we are merely taking a detour through the shitty part of a pleasure park.
  19. in the past we have overpaid,,usually by 10m for players.sometimes less.. but Man City paying so much for Sterling and De Bruyne..instead of having the option to get cheaper deals for not yet fully developed stars..you got to pay the price on the presumption that they will reach their full potential. we had the same problem with Stones..good player,i`m more sure about him being a top player at his position than atleast Sterling but twice the price we should be paying. in the past what was paid for them meant world superstars at the top of their game. there`s more money coming in but the prices are shooting up for the same things teams would have paid half for only a year or two ago.so we aren`t really gaining better depth when we pay 40m for potential where as we could have got 2 players of that standard a year or two ago. the TV deal will help the premiership be a tougher competition and if we continue to rely on signing players instead of our own youth players.we will get to a stage where our squad is entirely made up of foreign players with very few English players playing in the champions league atall. like Fergie said a few years ago..it`s not the prices for the top stars that are the problem..it`s the 15-20m for a nobody. they all add up.
  20. the main body of the interview is about him never seeing himself score as many as Ronaldo and Messi and that`s fair enough..those two are the players their teams are built around and the supporting cast is there to provide them with as many chances to score. and lets face it in Spain there`s only 3 or 4 teams who even challenge them to a game.the rest of the league is like public training sessions against their reserve team or worse. I do think we should have one player who roams freely. Eden and Oscar would be my candidates. but it would take a lot of changing the team to put him in a position to score the high number of goals they score. he`s more of an assistant to Costa. I would like to see him float around and attack different areas because I think it would drag the enemy defenders around and create openings for others but I only see him scoring a maximum of 30 goals in a season. as for the sometimes I score one goal and I think that`s enough...I think the Belgian players in general suffer in interviews because they are too open at times and don`t explain themselves fully because they may not understand how things they say can be taken. i take it as him saying he needs to learn to be more ruthless if he wants to score like Messi and Ronaldo do and what he doesn`t say is but I see that as enough for my own personal glory..he lays balls off for others instead of going for his own limelight. what would Ronaldo or Messi say if they were so open? I have mirrors on my ceiling so I can watch myself wank over my greatness after scoring a hat trick all by myself against Celta Vigo..who knows..
  21. good point Blue Coloured Sky. the 2 signings in the last 24 hours. the stop gap guys.they could be seen as panic buys but at that point if we had splashed big money, then we would either lose our true targets in the future or players like Zouma and say whoever out of our midfield.. RLC or another midfielder may make us change our mind on needing Pogba but Stones still remains a target..hopefully Everton have a shitty season.Martinez gets sacked or quits and we get Stones for a better price.i do think Martinez was the cock blocker..Kenwright is more a realist..even tho he made his money in show business.
  22. Shame we have yet to see some of it spent on our players. Tho our club partly to blame. Should be more insistent on transfer fees for the likes of Cuadrado and Salah even tho i kinda like the latter.doesn't appear he has a future with us after a good loan and he's back out.
  23. I think Juve would want him if he was a free transfer. Italian clubs do like their cheap deals these days..loans and cheap deals, atleast when it comes to our players. Different from the 80's and 90's when they were the financial power houses.
  24. if a kid is sent out to new foster parents once or twice a year for 3-6 years his/her chances of developing into a well rounded adult are not as high as if someone adopted them, gave them consistent guidance and the chance of a home for the next 10 years. we have been too quick to do the former, but so reluctant to do the latter. even as fans I see folks will say they are not completely convinced in our young players which is fair enough but we don`t have to be completely convinced..just give them a chance,gradually..like we should with all new players to the squad regardless of if they are youth or new signings. will atleast be able to judge if they actually need a loan or to stay in our squad.
  25. Oscar is our tempo setter, our risk taker..our bongo drum..
