Palmer might not be scoring but his interplay, reading of the game, and spatial awareness is second to none

Seeing Felix take over the shirt number from Trev is honestly more sad than what happened to Conor. The latter at least got a good season representing the club, wearing the armband, then there was a disagreement with the contract so he now takes on a new interesting challenge. All parties win, no hard feelings. But Trev is just as much a blue, happily signed every contract handed to him, always gave it his all, got unlucky with injury, returned as our best CB only to be cut loose before there was even anyone asking, now has to hand over his modest shirt number to the 17th attacking mid we randomly signed, will now be sold for peanuts to join some boring mid table club to rescue his career

Same. Even with a massive injury crisis and a tactical dinosaur incharge we were Sterling squaring it at home vs Villa away from top 4.

Mattill reacted to Magic Lamps in Chelsea Transfers
Agree. I have read rumours about him everywhere but would not even get excited .he would be an absolute shoe in with his playing style, straight upgrade on Sterling/mudryk for the left side + could easily establish himself as a leader with his attitude and workrate. Absolutely love to have players like this who play with intensity&passion plus have the technique to back it up.
But these kind of transfers were always super uncommon for us, even under Roman. There have been many classy Italian players that would have fitted us well over the past 20 years. But from the top of my head, I only remember Jorginho, zappcosta and Emerson actually joining us during that time. many tend to stay in Italy and of those who don’t they usually prefer sunnier destinations over England. Ironically Newcastle, which is maybe the place that must look most hostile to an Italian, are among the favourites to sign him. If he does end up there I will absolutely pissed with out board cos it would mean they were willing&able to prise some little known 26 yo CB away from them but not a quality, proven international household name.

Absolute horrid football club, hate them with a passion. If they are willing to pay that amount for Wirtz then they are more fucking stupid than I thought

Really agree with this. Maresca is not coming in trying to appease the players. He is coming in to get the players ready to win.

Lets be real. We don't deserve Europe. We were basically fluking our way in after an insanely lucky end of season and total collapse of others, and that as it happened there was some chance 6th could get a Europa spot.
Also very bad for the long term development of our players, not getting to experience European football for another year. When we finally get in, they will be shell shocked.
