Conte will be his kryptonite, just watch.
-
If he could add double the goals and assists to his game, he would be up there with the best of em. He has very good technical ability.
-
So Conte wants 5 players, including 2 defenders, 1 midfielder, 1 striker and a goalkeeper. With the rumours going around it looks like we're looking at 3/4 midfielders, 3/4 defenders, 1/2 strikers and 0 goalkeepers. Ridiculous nonsense.
-
Have no idea about him. Shame we don't have roma fans on here to enlightenen us.
-
Don't put it past us at all. This transfer window won't be pretty.
-
Either pjancic or nainggolan will leave.
-
^ I think the owner has pumped enough money into the club to get us to the top, it's ungrateful to constantly expect him to continue doing so - especially the type of money some of our fans expect us to shell out.
-
Umm because we have Ake, baba and da silva (who happens to be sitting in the youth academy). So many people ready and willing to want to see us spend needless money AGAIN and AGAIN for positions where its not needed.
-
It does concern me a little how all conte's supposedly no.1 targets are not being sold, so it leaves us again with B options. Koulibaly and nainggolan look to not gonna get sold, so where do we turn next? I don't know much about rudiger, but I just don't see the likes of Roma and Napoli selling their best players if they have any chance of competing for the seria a next season. We may have to be shrewd and scout at mid table clubs across europe for those diamonds in the rough.
-
How about timori?
-
Other players out there as good or better, just a case of looking harder and throwing enough money at them.
-
Might sound harsh but terry is the least of our worries going into next season. I don't personally feel him being here or not will make much of a difference, if any, to how strong we'll be. We need strengthening in midfield and defence, and terry is an aging cb who could end up hindering us more than anything next season.
-
Hasn't he said he wants to stay? Why the worry? Even if real come in for him, you think we are selling him cheap? The guy is majestic when fit and crucial to our team.
-
I wish we had a striker who could score goals without relying on great service all the time. Drogba was a beast because he could score from anywhere and everywhere. If Costa could score from outside the box it would be great, but the majority if the time he needs to be inside the box to do anything. Aguero and suarez are two strikers who are great at being dangerous anywhere in or around the box given the chance.
-
This is why we feel he's worth bale esque money or more. He is just as influential as bale when they're both on form and his dribbling n link up play is incredible. I hope we don't let him leave and do all we can to keep him at the club. We shouldn't be like other teams and let our best players go.
-
We have abraham too who seems to just be a goal scoring machine. Like to see him come through or be loaned elsewhere. I think it helps to have at least half decent players around you.
-
Stones, zouma and then christensen would be a great for the future of chelsea. I am not opposed to this at all. We do need experience too, so hopefully that comes from keeping JT at the club.
-
I don't mind if we plan to loan him to a better league for more experience. Playing in the championship is hardly competitive enough for a young player to develop. Going abroad is usually a must if you can't break into the first team squad.
-
Will the academy eventually help us dominate English football?

We can easily integrate 2/3 young players, maybe more, but we won't win the league or CL with a team full of them. I would like to see baker, abraham, colkett, palmer, musonda and christensen brought through, but barring those I don't think the other youth players are good enough to be included regularly in the first team squad. We need players with top level experience mixed in too. Bringing RLC through is a great start. If we bring one or two youth players through a season then that would be incredible and viably achievable. -
It will have to. I don't think it's necessarily just the expectations someone like conte will want from the players, but also he doesn't seem the type to cause pointless controversy and create negative atmosphere like José did. I think the latter did a lot to unsettle the players and create a toxic environment the players struggled with. Conte will also hopefully bring in players whom have a great attitude and fighting spirit to add to the quality we have.
-
I have a feeling conte is a different beast than José in that regard. He sounds like a madman when things don't go right and he'll pick up on a mistake and drill the players to quit making those mistakes. Italians are known to be very fiery characters.
-
I don't think traore is a striker anyway. He is more effective in wide position cutting in. I believe he's always played that position in the past (before vitesse).
-
Let's be honest, this season is just a totally weird one from start to finish. You have Leicester winning the league, city languishing around 4th, arsenal by some miracle still in top 3, spurs in second place and utd struggling to get into CL again. The league is not going to continue like this next season imo, and I believe us, city and utd will be up there again. We have just been unusually poor this season and there's been no emphasis on defensive duties. I think we bring in a manager who focuses on defensive prowess just as much as attacking prowess, we will do fine. Last season we could grind out results, this season not so much. A lot of ground has had to be made up since the poor results at the start of season, and there's been various issues at the club that has created a negative impact on us. Next season I am expecting us to be right back up there with a few shrewd signings and integration of 2/3 youth players.

Article on De Bruyne leaving http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/15/kevin-de-bruyne-i-left-chelsea-because-jose-mourinho-was-not-fai/
-
Okay, yes KDB is a fantastic player and we stupidly let him go, but in the next year or two another player will come along who is just as good, if not better who we may sign, then we will forget all about de bruyne. We may have a player like that in musonda, or a youngster out on loan or going to sign up to the youth system in near future. Anyway, what I am trying to say is he's one player and there will always be another player of similar qualities come through and hopefully do what kevin is doing, for us. No point crying over spilt milk; he is not at our club any more so let's move on.
