  1. More like he's staying at Roma because we weren't bowing down to Roma's ridiculous fee for a nearly 30 year old central midfielder.
  2. I still don't think he's any better than De Bruyne. He is hyped up because he is talented, but he is nothing out of the ordinary (makes a few nice passes, scores some youtube reel goals) like so many continue to think he is.
  3. Pogba ain't getting sold this summer. He doesn't want to go to Utd and he claimed himself he was happy at Juve not long ago, so I think we'll see him go to Barcelona (which seems to be where he wants to play). I don't think even Utd are daft enough to offer all that money for one player, when they can upgrade in other areas for that money. Pogba is good, but he isn't good enough that he would cost the same amount as 2/3 players would be. On top of this there are no reputable sources saying Utd and Juve have even agreed anything, only that an offer was made by Utd.
  4. No one knows who we are negotiating with. Look at the Batshuayi signing, it came from nowhere really. We could well be in advanced talks with anyone right now and the club are being tight lipped about it all. I do hope before the month is out we pull out a couple of really top signings.

  6. Have we even been linked to another wing back? Someone like Rodriguez? If we play with 3 at back, then who will be our wide players? I am thinking Pedro and Kenedy would come in useful, with hazard playing more central.
  7. This is the English version. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/koulibaly-chelsea-contacts-between-the-agent-and-napoli-the-situation/
  8. Shit will start getting real in the transfer window in next few days with Conte finished with Euros.
  9. GET INTO BED, NOW! (however it is said in Italian) I bet she loves it
  10. I'm wondering if with a departure of Costa, could it be the end of us playing hoof ball to the big guy up top? If someone like Morata came in, we would have two technically efficient forwards rather than a target man.
  11. If Costa leaves, then there's Higuain or Morata for us to go after, or even Lukaku.
  12. There will obviously be reinforcements, but at the moment people are fussing over Utd's signings as if they've just signed and close to signing a Pogba, Neymar or some other world class player. I am not doubting a player like Ibrahimovic's ability, but he's been playing in a weak French league for years now and all of a sudden people think he and someone like Mkritaryan will come to the premier league and all of a sudden become the league's best players. Better players have struggled in this league, and I don't see it being any different for the latter players, especially the former considering age and mobility.
  13. So utd sign a 27 year old who has only had one decent season, an old striker who during his prime years has played in a weak league, and they've signed a no name centre back. quick, let's all shit ourself and concede we've lost the title and everyone is inferior to this new utd side. Talk about an overreaction. On paper we still have as good a side, if not better and if our current crop of players played to their full potential again next season, i would be confident of beating Utd, even with their new signings.
  14. Talking about the past won't change the now or future. Conte is the future and this should be our focus. Anyway, change of topic, would you lot rather he won the Euros or lost to Spain and gets to business with the club asap?
  15. Arguably Roma's most important player, but isn't worth more than 40 million euros imo.
  16. Even though he's 29, there's no chance Juve would even accept that money for him.
  17. So who do we focus our efforts on now for that role?
  18. I could see him as a Milner esque player for us. He is 30/31, so hardly going to be a first team fixture I wouldn't have thought.
  19. We can't go spending 200 million on players, so we have to think smarter on the areas which are more of a priority. I think a CB, CM and a striker. However, I would put faith in young Traore up top.
  20. LVG has done fuck all on the European stage for god knows how many years, meanwhile Conte is managing an Italy team after 3 successful years at Juventus in which they won consecutive league titles. conte is 20+ years younger, so has time on his side; he still has more developing as a coach I am sure. Even if Conte won the Euros and people said it was a fluke, you can't take away what he did domestically with Juventus, so that proves in itself he is capable to manage at the elite level.
  21. How can he sue us? Koulibaly said there were big "clubs" interested in him, not just us!
  22. And he wants to stay, so this is swinging in Roma's favour. I say it's more likely 80/20 that he'll stay at Roma. Only way it happens is if Roma accept the money or he decides to move for a pay rise. Hopefully Conte has a word in his ear on Monday night after the game.
  23. So he is urging the Roma board to give him a pay rise to keep him at the club as he's reluctant in moving to London? That's how I see it anyway. I dunno why we're bothering if he doesn't want to come.
