  1. If Chalobah goes on loan again as well I might just commit a crime lol
  2. Are we believing every word of some random twitter "journalist" now?
  3. I think the main question here is, can we score vs West Ham's defence? Yes! With Hazard on form, Kante a brilliant addition to our midfield, Pedro/Willian and Fabregas, and Costa/Batshuayi up front we can absolutely terrorise West Ham's defence Monday night. I don't personally believe they can go head to head with us in any area of the field, especially in attack, so that only means one thing... A Chelsea win, baby! COYB
  4. I just sat here like a donut for about 30 seconds waiting for him to take the run up lol totally oblivious to the fact it's repetitive. DUH!
  5. A lot of talk from his agent. As we all know, agents lie too. We don't know what is happening. Di Marzio aren't reporting anything about this at all, so I don't believe those quotes are even true tbh.
  6. To be honest, if we want a replacement for Matic I am unsure why we are not looking at Diawara of Bologna. He's supposed to be a terrific young CDM. We were linked to him about a year ago I think, but since then we haven't been linked at all again. At least he's experienced at playing in a top league.
  7. Might be chasing him, but are we fast enough to catch him is the real question?
  8. He ain't getting any younger. He is what, late 20's now? He's already looking like he's on a decline and maybe the Italian league will suit him. I would prefer to bring in a younger, better version and/or keep Chalobah around to fight for a place in the first team also. I say the more centre mids the better for us. As much as everyone critiques Mikel, he's been a fantastic servant to the club, and most of all he loves playing for the club, so for me he is more important than Matic.
  9. Honestly, I would prefer Joao Mario, who we were linked with a few weeks ago. He has competed at the top level in Europe with Lisbon and has fantastic potential. However, he will likely cost a fair fee, so it's understandable we don't want to keep paying out huge fees for players when we have other important areas which need strengthening.
  10. If that's the reason he's playing poorly then let him go. We need players who are willing to fight and play at the highest level.
  11. no idea how good this kid is, have never watched him.
  12. David Amoyal ‏@DavidAmoyal 1h1 hour ago David Amoyal Retweeted NEED DEFENDERS I have no updates on Koulibaly and Maksimovic
  13. When did West Ham become the Barcelona or Madrids of the Premier League ffs?! I honestly think people overrate West Ham because of last season. On paper (and off paper) we have superior talent in every department, and if our ambitions are to challenge then West Ham should be nothing more than a fly buzzing around our ear/s.
  14. Not the board, which is most important.
  15. One issue with Pogba is he seems to like hanging around with grime rap artists and the like, and he's always pictured with various rappers/hip hop artists and it would make me cautious he isn't concentrating 100% on football. being back england can only make this worse as manchester and london are home to the top grime artists. It makes me wonder whether he just enjoys being in the limelight too much (photos with celebs, wearing expensive clothing, looking flashy in gucci etc), which is not beneficial for his football career. In Italy that's fine because he is away from all the fame/spotlight, but now he's at Utd there's going to be so much pressure on him and if his mind is not fully concentrated on football, things could go downhill fast.
  16. I would be a bit unsure about signing him. It could well have been a season where everything went to plan for Leicester, and Mahrez just so happened to have the season of his life. Kante by all accounts was already doing well in France before they signed him, but Mahrez is a whole nother thing altogether.
  17. Probably supporters of other clubs faking their accounts to throw our abuse at opposition footballers. Don't be surprised, it's how sad sports fans have become, especially football fans.
  18. So Mourinho thinks Pogba is better off at Utd than Madrid and Barca because the two latter clubs have too many "main men" (i.e. Ronaldo and Messi) whom will block his development. What a load of shite. It will be interesting to see whether Jose actually helps him develop or not because Pogba seems to have done pretty well at that on his own at Juve. He will probably end up playing him too deep and we'll see Pogba slowly start to become anonymous in games or be eased into a more defensive central midfielder.
  19. Arsenal probably would have too with the investment we've had, let's be honest here. There's things to hate about Arsenal, but their philosophy and club direction has to be commended; they've just been unfortunate that Roman injected billions into our club over the last 10 years. Let's not forget Arsenal had good success before our investment, then having to compete with both us and Utd, then City's investment since 2010/11.
  20. Fair enough, but you can also switch that around and say with the money we've spent we shouldn't end up 10th last season. Arsenal, at the very least, have managed to get CL football every season with spending a lot less than we have. If we don't win the league within the next 3/4 seasons, would you consider that a success considering what we've spent on building our squad?
  21. You know what is incredible, even though our defence isn't great, on paper it's actually better than the likes of Arsenal, but they are still able to beat teams like City, Utd etc and even get into the CL season after season. It is quite embarrassing. Just watching the preseason game between them and City, and Arsenal are the ones in the driving seat considering they're not even that good on paper. I guess it shows you what can happen with club stability and smart buys.
  22. Considering Di Marzio hasn't reported this, and only a few days ago responded to a twitter user saying Napoli and Koulibaly are in negotiations over a new, improved contract, I would take this rumour (from some random source) with a large grain of salt. It would be fantastic if we could pull this signing off, but so far everything has pointed towards him staying at Napoli. Napoli also know (or should know) we desperately need a centre back and can hold out to fleece us for Koulibaly.
  23. I understand people's frustrations, but we have to realise the players we are after are key players for their clubs and the negotiating will take some time. I am positive our board will be working hard behind the scenes to negotiate for players, so things just aren't going to happen overnight. We still have plenty time left in the transfer window so relax and see how things go. If someone would have told you or I we would have signed Kante, let alone Kante and Batshuayi with 4 weeks of the window left I would have never believed them. We have two positions sorted, so I very much doubt the board are neglecting (and by the transfer rumours i am reading, it's obvious they are not) our defence.
  24. knew this was coming we don't treat our legends with any respect.
  25. You would think we would only sign one, unless conte is looking at playing koulibaly at right back while mustafi partners Terry, or plays alongside Zouma as Terry cannot play every game. I wonder which link is more truthful.
