We could have ivanovic as a back up centre back if needs be, but we're not in a crisis in defence like some seem to think. If we play Cahill and Zouma in the central pairing and Azpilicueta and Baba either flanks, we shouldn't have a problem for pressing higher. We should have thought about strenghtening this area as soon as the window opened though, not 5 days before the close of the window - ridiculous by the board. People really underrate oscar, a player whom has experience of playing in the premier league. Pogba has no experience here at all, so to think he'll be better than oscar is a joke. He may or may not be a prem quality midfielder.

Honestly, i think the no.10 discussion is meaningless. Okay, so Juventus give him the no.10 shirt, but how does this mean anything when next season he would have been likely to leave? So Juventus give him that shirt, which many say isn't given aimlessly, yet he would be wearing it for one season anyway. I am not reading anything into him being given the no.10 shirt at all, as it means absolutely zilch in terms of long term if they are planning to sell in a year anyway. I would expect him to sign a new 5 year contract on top of being given the no.10 shirt if he was in juventus' long term plans.
