Slonina is still only 20, and he's had 1 season of European football under his belt. As for Penders, there's no way the club bring him in next season for first team football, will definitely be a Courtois style, loan for 1-2 seasons in a good league. I think what happened is FFP. Essentially the club needed to get Gallagher's lovely HG money on the books. The only way to do it, was via an asset swap - which meant Felix coming in. However, Felix was only seen as an asset and not a real member of the squad as the club want to realise the £40m odd in actual cash at some point. Hence, he floated around the squad for a little while and was moved on asap. He wasn't ever really a player for us, despite being in the squad. I have said aBy King Kante

What happened to him here? Maresca actually rated him highly as a skillful player. Maresca himself said that Palmer and Félix are the types of players fans come to watch The club and Maresca agreed to buy him permanently for such a high fee with a contract until 2030.
