Villa one win in their last six games. Not exactly in world beating form at the moment

It would be nice to relax mid week instead of wanting to punch somebody after a game. Discipline and not knowing how to handle set pieces is not a winning combination.

Right well, another match watched from behind the sofa At best a point

They’ve effectively gone and exclusively used data analytics for recruitment though. That was the big part of the BlueCo’s plan, change to a far more data driven approach, to modernise recruitment, pick up players other wouldn’t etc etc. Instead they’ve wasted nearly £2.5bn. Its absolutely incredible 👏

I don’t think we did tbh. It seems Maresca is tactically superior to the PE teacher.. both are not what I expect at Chels. I want a proper gaffer but that is not happening under this disgusting ownership.

So what is the excuse cause that keeps getting brought up..there is no excuses there is no leadership on the pitch. We already have the record for most yellows in a season so why not do the double with reds
-
Get what? We looked even worse with that dumbass.

Well that's what you get for getting rid of maresca and getting some one like Liam. Don't worry he got 6 years contract by the board .....
-
Just fucking abysmal performance and once again we talking about discipline and another gutless display I said before this game and a few weeks back we will slip into complete insignificant in this league. 3 behind Liverpool and Brentford right behind us
-
It was bound to happen post Roman and we got shitty owners who want to use Chelsea like their American 'teams'. We don't have any footballing brains in the club anymore. Its going to be tough for Liam to get us top 4 this season, already dropped 4 points in 2 home games that we should have won and now we have no form heading into a horrible fixture list. If we lose to Villa, we may as well give up on top 4.

Well we are only 2 cards away from equalling the record.....and funnily enough, the young players haven't been sent off this season.

At this point I'm convinced theyre trying to beat the red card record. Only logos explanation. I get the theres the young excuse but theyre all not that young!! You know if do this on a yellow it'll lead to another yellow. Such a mess..
-
You've summed it up in that sentence... Fucking disgraceful situation.

Exactly, Eghbali being Clearlake's appointee is likely not going anywhere anytime soon. If anyone and anything can make them see that this youth driven approach is failure, it is the club losing points and failing to secure meaningful sponsorship. Unfortunately might be the more realistic scenario, like a bitter pill that needs to be swallowed. The CWC win and the scraping of top 4 last season only papered over cracks. Just like the sale of the club hotel and women's team only partially addressed financial loss in one competition. Boehly being chairman could make recommendations to move for experienced players, but the problem is he is NOT a football man like he himself admitted openly. "Went after Cucurella because Man City were going after the player". The only thing they can do is change the recruitment strategy and instruct Winstanley & co. to shift course.
-
If they remove Eghbali who is going to run the show then? Boehly was pushed aside by Eghbali & Clearlake because their majority shareholders. It doesn’t change with one or two guys. Has to be a big change ie new owners. Or Boehly buys them out and becomes majority shareholder. Not only do we need new owners, new sporting director, new manager, some actual good players, a front of shirt sponsor. Anything else missed? Anger management training or something for the amount of red cards maybe?
-
They’ve all got top level potential. Apparently. Thats why we sign them. Its actual top level quality we need just now though 😂

At fault for both goals. But it's normal for a first start in PL.

Do what I do. Don’t watch. Last game I watched was back in January. I refuse to watch or give any effort to support this football club when I can’t even recognize it. This isn’t Chelsea FC. It’s LDN FC.
-
Exactly, the issue isn’t that we can’t make signings — it’s that we need to be smart, not trapped by the absurd idea that we can only go after players under 24. That kind of restriction unnecessarily narrows our options and forces risky bets on youngsters who won’t always deliver. If we open up to slightly more experienced players — say 25 to 29, still with room to improve — we can strengthen the squad without blowing the budget or relying on total gambles. It’s about balance: young talents for the future, but mature pieces to stabilize the present. The key is surgical signings, not spending recklessly or sticking to a youth-only ideology at all costs.
-
What’s especially scary is that we can’t take the ruthless route that Roman would’ve taken if this was 10 years ago and spend a fuck ton of money on world class, highly experienced players to get us out of this hole. We will be extremely strained to do any serious transfer business. No UCL football, no permanent shirt sponsor, already under UEFA sanction and probably in danger of the 3 year PSR rules, tiny stadium revenue compared to every one of our rivals. Add on top of that the fact that we start on a serious back foot attracting any top players because of our wage cap. We will also struggle mightily to get anyone to take some of the shit we’ve filled our squad with like Gittens, Delap, or Garnacho. So what does this all mean? That we’re basically boxed in to the very same approach that has got us where we are now. More gambles on young players and more sell to buy. All business which will be done by the same jokers who have fucked us for 4 straight years.

I accepted it last year, this club has morphed into itself and completely gone from winners to accepting middle of the road performances, attitude and menatality The owners and people behind the scenes have a lot to answer for, the player are a very close second
