Well seeing as we have no transfer window and a signing to drag out for all of summer we instead have this I guess.

I'm 100% sure the fans will never turn on Lamps doesn't matter how bad things get and they certainly won't be bad as some our making out. David Webb took over in 1993 with the team struggling. Webbie was a legend and his appointment got the fans onside straight away and while you couldn't call it a feel good factor it was important that one of our own took over and we climbed the table and then Hoddle took over which wasn't a universally popular decision with him being a Tottenham legend.

It does amuse me the way Chelsea fans are perceived that we are entitled and passionless and yet when we let our feelings known we're spoilt and constantly moaning. When Mourinho got sacked and we played against Sunderland and we let the players know how we felt that's what Chelsea fans are all about we're not fucking mugs and if your not pulling your weight manager or players we'll let you know.

So if Frank is the manager we've got to cut him some slack and look at the bigger picture. While the club is not exactly in turmoil things could be a lot smoother (they never are at Chelsea) Roman's hiatus, the transfer ban, injuries to key players so get behind Lamps and Carefree.

I am prepared to cut Lamps a tonne of slack, he is walking into a really fucked up situ that he had zero part in making.:)

We survived 2 shit seasons in the last 4, 2015–16 (a fucking nightmare) but we snapped back with a monster EPL season, and then 2017-18 (and even there we won a major trophy, the FA Cup) and got another trophy last year so this club has proven we can overcome adversity.

If you look at Derby last year, and subtract out our two lads (Tomori and Mount) they really had fuckall in terms of even potential, (let alone present) top class talent and Lamps still got them one goal away from being in the EPL. Waghorn? Tom Lawrence?  Jack Marriot?? LOL Those 3 are nowhere near EPL level. Lawrence is closest and he might slot in a bottom 5 EPL team like BHO or the dreadful (I have NO idea how they got 2nd place, Chris Wilder FULLY earned his MOTY award, their entire market value is only £29m!) Sheffield United squad.

Those 3 players were, after Tomori and Mount, their best players, along with Jayden Bogle. Bogle is only 18, and he MAY be an EPL right back someday, but that is neither here nor there at this time, and yet Lampard got a massive FIFTY games and almost 4400 minutes out of the lad. Derby's entire team last season was worth less in Transfermarkt's total market value than what we paid for just Pulisic, less than what we paid for just Jorginho. I think he had a great year. Put him in charge of West Brom or Stoke and give him Mount and Tomori, and either of thsoe, especially the Baggies, would have finished in top 2. Derby is going to finish bottom half of the table next season if Lamps leaves.

I think after last season our funs should to restrain their judgement of a manager until the season ends. Because it's awkward as F what had Sarri achieved here and how he was treated.

for me Roman has always respected footballers above coaches. he probably respects Lampard above any coach he`s hired for us before.

we don`t need a puppet master coach ,those are for teams with weaker talent (i know we aren`t the most talented of squads any more, but coupling the fact that we now require to use a fair few of those we have loaned out,our squad would be stronger) look at all Lampard has played with he`s had pretty much every kind of personality of player in the dressing room. e.g Drogba,Ballack,Crespo,JT, Ashley and Joe Cole,Gerrard,Scholes,Rio etc...

i don`t expect us to go deep into the European Cup campaign,i`m not entirely expecting us to even finish 3rd in the Premier League but am expecting us to look in a much better position to challenge in year two than i would have expected with a more rigid puppet master coach like Jose,Conte or Sarri.

My worry is that when things go bad, which they inevitably will, then he will be shat on by everyone and sacked by the clueless board. I wouldn't mind him coming in, I love Lamps, but he will need to be shown massive patience.

I agree mate, he needs time and patience, lets hope it all pans out even with this clueless board of ours.

Wow.. Worst kept secret!

Thanks for the memories.. Short and sweet! Hope he does well. Does feel nice in a way we didn't fire him! Makes a change

Including the 3 tempt managers this will be our 12th one since Roman took over.

I really don't know what to think of Sarri leaving (putting his replacement to one side) he was on very thin ice at Cardiff and yet we came third and won the Europa League. Some of the football was dreadful there's no getting away from it but the second half against Arsenal was fucking sensational. Would things got better under him next season ? highly debatable I'm not convinced it would have and so the soap opera that is Chelsea carries on what's next ? traces of novacheck found in the away dressing room, the lesser spotted Baba Rahman comes back and says he likes dressing up in lederhosen you never know with Chelsea :)

Probably end up playing Juventus just for the lols.. Some of his decions drove me mad but he achieved with us at least. And he left on good terms really. Didn't get shown the door. Doing what's right for him which is how he should be.

He's left us with what he always wanted and that's a trophy, I thank him for leaving with that and also finishing above Spurs....Good luck MS and thanks.

And end the season winning more than poch 😂😂 I still don't get why people rate poch as one of the best managers everytime they have chance to win something they bottle it

Good thing we made the decision early though. Still hoping it is not Lampard, but if it's him, so be it.
