  1. 1. Who you want to see as the new manager?

People were talking about long-term manager and then they want Hiddink. Does that make sense?

Long-term manager doesn't mean a man who will stay 10 years. This doesn't exist, only Arsenal and Manchester have such experience in recent years.

Long-term manager is a manager who can build something useful in the "long -term", like introducing players like Josh and Bruma in the first team, or can build a squad good enough to be useful in a long term.

A club might have a long-term project, wich doesn't mean staying with the same manager for 10 or 20 years. If Hiddink stays here for 3 or 4 years, he would helps Chelsea's long term project more than Carlo.

The point im trying to make is that Guardiola only refrained from commenting becasue he did not wish to take atention away from the game. even if he is 100 % sure he is staying he would not say as this would be changing the subject , therefore i feel the comment about waiting for a more suitable occasion ( most likely to confirm his position ) would be more appropriate and does not make him any less or more likely to come to us than before the comment.

I think that you confused the meaning of the term long-term.

Yes you are right. Why create more pressure.

Would love to have Guardiola but my word, why would anyone want to leave this Barca team. Wonderful display today.

He says it's difficult to go on at a big club like that for a long period of time and important to have new ideas every few years.

Shows the character of the man, almost everyone would be happy to sit back and let those players pick up routine wins, points and trophies.

Maybe he'd want a new challenge?

He's won it all now with Barcelona.

True..but can just go and win it all again and when you have a team of that qualifty anyway which can build to,know so well etc..just cant see it happening.Be intresting to see what he'd do with Chels and all if he did come but just be daft for him to really

And with the added challenege of keeping the job...

Pep Guardiola just said in an interview that he is going to stay.

Expected. Its Hiddink or Hiddink + Basten, then.

Anyway, this MU defeat showed how bad our form was this season. We finished 2nd, but this is MU side is by far the weakest in last years.

Barcelona is a superb team, but this was a one sided final. MU played like a mid table team from Spain. If we want to do something in Europe in next season we need changes. Sacking Carlo was the greatest changes of all. Thanks Roman.

Guardiola, Mourinho.

Mourinho never was an option.

Mourinho never was an option.

Yeh that was wishful thinking...would've made the 4 or so years without him such a waste of time if he had come back...Dont get me wrong would've been happy for him to and all but at the same time just been ahhh why bother sacking him in the first place?! Go through so many managers just to go back
