EskWeston 696
Given all the reports we have had already with Hiddink, Redknapp and Hughes all being dead certs i think we have to take this with a pince of salt still. Having said that i would be well pleased to see us sign a young up and coming manager with something to prove and a very good technical knowledge of the game. Would be pleased if we did appoint him. Term-X 7,891
Villas Boas as manager, and Hiddink as DoF would be the dream team. The 15m release cause is a concern though. Considering there are no guarantees Roman will give him time, and the club have already given Carlo a £6m pay off.Villas Boas has great respect among #CFC players who worked with him under Mourinho. He gave each player a dossier on their direct opponent.http://twitter.com/#!/garbosj
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Hiddink could be crucial in this story.IMO he is the only one Roman listens to & respects in football matters. So Guus can be the connection beetwen Roman and Villas-Boas.Combination of youth and experience could provide so many good things at CFC.I'm sure we won't buy somebody just because RA wants sexy football.Guus and AvB,lead us to glory ! Kostas 1,468
If it hasn't been posted already , here's an incredibly insightful article on Villas-Boas . Covers his roots and advent into the game , going into great detail with plenty of references . Makes for a good read altogether :http://www.level3foo...verpool_managerWhat a huge read I'll be gutted if we don't get him only for reading this.Given all the reports we have had already with Hiddink, Redknapp and Hughes all being dead certs i think we have to take this with a pince of salt still. Having said that i would be well pleased to see us sign a young up and coming manager with something to prove and a very good technical knowledge of the game. Duppy Conqueror 1,557
Not sure if Terry will respect a guy as old as him.i guess you meant Lampard ,due to there being quite a gap in the ages of JT and AVB.

Henrique 9,133
Terry would respect any manager Chelsea appoints. When I say respect, I'm not saying Terry will avoid fucking Villas' wife, or will call the portuguese a jackass. What I'm saying is, when Villa come with some controversial tactic it would not be difficult to a player like Terry think "This guy don't know what he is doing".I mean, Villas is a good choice, I'm only pointing some things that might happen. I don't see a problem with it. Vialli was as young when he became manager and was very successful. It help cause he was at the club before being appointed manager, same will be with AVB, if he gets appointed.
