Yes, you actually should.

Not doing so is like a Barcelona fan saying "Hey, I actually don't mind Real Madrid :)".

.... Never have my suspicions been higher that you're a troll account.

Personally I don't think thats true. But I guess a good old hostile tribal mentality is a necessity to be 'tha real deal' for chelsea, Leif? In the 1930's there was another group really good at that sort of ingroup outgroup stigmatisms. Check it out sometimes.

Well when it comes to your primary team, yes. Look at Gala - Fener, Barcelona - Madrid, Arsenal - Tottenham, Sunderland - Newcastle, Atletico - Real, United - City, Milan - Inter, Chelsea - Tottenham, Rangers - Celtic. I didn't wave my magic wand and make this the way people are judged, but especially when it comes to English football, how you react towards other teams has been a measuring tool as to how much you do indeed support a club for decades.

If a fan of any of those clubs tolerated, celebrated and/or had good things to say about their rival club, almost every other support of their club would be puzzled, shocked, and even angered. It's always been that way. There's so much more to football than just what we see on the TV.

When you support a badge, it is indeed like supporting or being in a tribe.

If you support the blue gang on the West Coast of America, the Crips, then you have no tolerance or good things to say about the other half, the red gang, the Bloods.

If you're a certain house in Game Of Thrones, of course which is fiction, then it's just the same mentality when it comes to other 'seats' or families.

It's not about being abusive to people when you see them wearing a rival team's top or anything like that, but certain events, in football and even politics, date way back in history between clubs which can't be forgotten down through generations. So when you see that opposition of yours succeeding at the cost of the club or 'tribe' or family you love, you can't watch someone else in your 'tribe' be happy about it. It's just wrong.

Chelsea is more than a club to some. It's a family. If one of your family members celebrated the progression of a rival family your own family has always despised for whatever reason which comes at the cost of your own family, heads will be turned and people will be angered.
