Said the same - just not a motivator

Be good if we had this man back -

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has 'no understanding about football', says the club's former sporting director Frank Arnesen

Watch this be a typical Tottenham week. Spank Everton here and then get spanked themselves by a United side that are in total disarray at the weekend.

As for Everton, I said a couple of weeks ago that this was the wrong job for Frank to jump straight back into management at. It was the sort of job that desperately needed an older, vastly experienced and respected manager to steady things and build over a couple of years. He should’ve gone back to the Championship at an up and coming club, rebuilt his reputation, and then in 2-3 years move back to the PL.

Now he is predictably struggling at this terrible Everton side and if things continue like this he’s going to get sacked again and never get a top job in the future.

And like someone else pointed out get sacked here...avoid teams in blue.

It was too much of a ask. Rafa did his best and wasn't enough. This isn't enough.

I suppose since Harry Kane looks to be enjoying his football so much again that there’s no chance he’ll leave this summer now. That sucks.

Would’ve been nice to see Spuds fall off a cliff for a few years trying to replace him.

Could quite easily be playing himself into the shop window. There was genuine debate over whether his form was him half arsing it or whether he was actually done.

Still don’t see any way Levy will let him go. If Kane would’ve continued to down tools the whole season, maybe. But now he has seen that if he stands firm and refuses to let him leave Kane will eventually start playing well again.

Levy will know that Conte would go nuclear if he is sold. It would be just like Inter selling players against his will.

Luiz Diaz is a beast, ffs

Pool's scouts are just too good

Yep they have a eye for talent. Most of their signings have had such a impact and just slotted in..haven't had to spend insane amounts either. Hopefully we can start to build towards something...

They are owned by some yank sports management kind of consortium as well. maybe this gives hope that having some kind of sporting capabilities and vague financial restraints add quality to the recruiting policy for us too

Just hearing Boehly speak with regards to the use of data and identifying players that can play in multiple positions and systems gives me hope he has an understanding of how to build a successful team, no matter the sport.
