Wolves to file complaint after Hwang the target of alleged racist remark

July 16 (Reuters) - Wolverhampton Wanderers said they will file a complaint with UEFA after their South Korean forward Hwang Hee-chan was the target of an alleged racial remark during Monday's pre-season match against Italian side Como 1907.

Hwang reported the incident midway through the second half, which led to an angry response from his teammates and saw Daniel Podence sent off for punching a Como player, the midlands club said.

Como did not respond immediately to a request for comment outside normal business hours.

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil said he had asked Hwang if he wanted the match to be abandoned or to be substituted but the 28-year-old wanted the game to continue.
Wolves won 1-0 at their training camp in Marbella, Spain.

"Channy (Hwang) will be OK. He’ll get our full support and we’ll pick him up in the morning and make sure he’s OK. It’s a together group," the manager added.

Should have been dropped Kane, but he has the armband and in Southgates world it's like a halo and makes him untouchable.

This is the thought process that is holding us back- Palmer, Gordon and Watkins all being an example of Southagte's safe mindset and worrying more about upsetting people rather than getting the right result with the right players

It's not Kane's fault.
With Fraudgate system he could do nothing.

Moments after Palmer's equaliser, England had a throw-in deep in the Spanish half. Walker took a good 30 seconds before throwing it back to Stones who went back to Pickford. They really had the chance to make a game of it but quickly dropped deep and allowed Spain to control the game again.

They were headless chicken during that interval.
Pickford saved two before the 2-1.

The FA suits have a genuine dislike/fear of working class managers. They had trepidation of Venables. Hoddle, and would never have appointed the best England manager that never was Brian Clough. The best player that was never picked - lippy, funny genius Jimmy Greaves for plummy Ramseys World Cup squad.

They want media friendly middle class ones like Southgate, or exotic grifters like Capello. Working class people created football, but it is run and milked by money men like so much culture

Been trying to think who would be the best coach to take England over the hump .King Carlo i think would do it if he was available.Klopp might be interested as less hard work than club management and available.

Howe is best bet if we sticking English.or maybe they'll look at ex-England players again even tho they kinda failures at club level, didn't stop them hiring Southgate and Big Sam etc...

  • Southgate: "As a proud Englishman, it has been the honour of my life to play for England and to manage England. It has meant everything to me, and I have given it my all. But it’s time for change, and for a new chapter. I’m leaving my role.”

  • The FA has drawn up a shortlist of possible candidates to replace Gareth Southgate as England manager. Eddie Howe, Mauricio Pochettino, Graham Potter and current England U21 boss Lee Carsley are all on the list.
