But he needs best players in every position for his system to work. Put Mourinho or Conte in Crystal Palace they would finish seventh or eight, Pep would get relegated. Think this season will be much like last at the top of the table, though I think City will win the title by more than 1 point this time. they are so good they really (other than depth for rest or another injury) will not even truly miss Sane for the next 6 or 7 months, and it gives Mahrez, who looks cracking over the summer (led Algeria to the AFCON trophy) a true run-in must be nice to be two deep with WC or near WC players, ffs

Vesper 30,178
hat trick Sterling, he may get 30 this year (or more) if Neymar stumbles I think he is on verge of being best LW in the world (only Hazard would give him a run), unless you count Mbappe as a LW (he is more of a CF now)
Tomo 21,751
The level City are at now is even more incentive to build something more sustainable as the quick fixes we went for under Conte and especially Mourinho just won't work now. Thankfully Pep will be gone in 1/2 years so let's make sure we're the ones to pounce when the times comes.

Vesper 30,178
its completely between Shitty and Barca for Best team in the world IMHO if Barca had purchased de Ligt, would probably give them the edge, but they didnt we shall see what they do in what is left of the window

LAM09 7,054
I feel sorry for anyone who still try to deny Pep is a great manager, it must take some serious mental gymnastics. He's been allowed to mold teams with the best players to get the most out of his teams. No matter how poor Mourinho has been in recent years, his successes at Inter (even Porto to an extent) won't be match by Pep's achievements at City. This side won't win the CL. hat trick Sterling, he may get 30 this year (or more) if Neymar stumbles I think he is on verge of being best LW in the world (only Hazard would give him a run), unless you count Mbappe as a LW (he is more of a CF now) You're forgetting Mane. We need the person in charge of identifying and recruiting players to get us guys that will come in and instantly fit like a glove. That's what City have. A player can come in and look as though they've been there for years. They likely scouted and decided to sign Rodri months and months ago. He comes in and looks right at home.
