Thats not news. Attacking was never their weakness. This kind of attitude from the opposition is perfect for them.

And this is how every small team is going to play against them. They're terrified before they even kick off. They know if they don't play defensively they'll be carved apart and even when they do play defensively like WBA are here, they're shit and City still dominate.

Teams were terrified of us until the new year last season but many have found out that if they press our slow midfield and attack with pace from wide areas they can punch us in the teeth. The personnel we have just can't dominate the ball this easily and pass teams to death.

You're completely wrong tbh.

Did you watched City last season? thats not how most small teams are playing against them, its very stupid to play like WBA are playing today. They dont press, they're not putting any effort to get the ball, they dont seem to want to attack.

Last season City lost lots of points because of the small teams counter attacking them, having a real go at their defense, not giving them any credit because they knew their central midfield is a walk in the park, and their defense is very shaky.

If what you're saying was the truth, City wouldnt be out of the title race since January.

What happend since new year in Chelsea is a lot more complicated and bigger than "Teams found out what to do against us". In short, Mourinho gave up on attractive football because he was too cautious, wanted to win the title and wasnt sure we can keep going as we did until the new year.

We just need one good midfielder who can hold the ball under pressure in the middle and still create (modric, Koke) but they are damn scarce.

We need another Ashley Cole to help against those fast wingers too. Hopefully with baba we'll solve one problem.

West Brom will go down this season imo. Pulis is the most limited manager in the League.

Can't see it, Pulis teams are not very good to watch but they always get enough results. I hate playing his sides away from home.

Palace are a dark horse to be in trouble for me, Pardrew isn't even half as good as what is being made out right now.

Chelsea set to lose appeal against red card shown to Thibaut Courtois

The 23-year-old Belgium international was sent off on 52 minutes for denying Bafetimbi Gomis a clear goalscoring opportunity, with the Swansea striker equalising from the penalty spot in the 2-2 draw.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho refused to discuss the decision after the match, but the champions lodged an appeal against the one-game ban yesterday.
But Starsport understands Michael Oliver's decision is set to be upheld, with the FA extremely pleased with the performance of the 30-year-old, who is being viewed as the natural successor to star ref Howard Webb.
If it fails, Courtois' one-match ban would see him miss the trip to last season's runners-up Manchester City on Sunday.
He will be replaced by Asmir Begovic, the £8m Bosnian signing from Stoke, who made his Blues debut as Courtois' replacement against the Swans.
Rookie Jamal Blackman is likely to be on the bench.
I hate to be negative, but I saw this coming from a mile off. And it frustrates me to no end because last season Oscar was taken out in the penalty area by Arsenal Goalkeeper David Ospina and we never got a penalty for it.
What makes things worse is that the referee for that game was the same referee for our game against Swansea last week.
