They just saw $$ signs in savings and transfer fees and shipped out half the squad. Fans were also thrilled because we shipped out 'trash'. Did the trash screw up last season? Did it have anything to do with chopping and changing managers and putting in mediocre managers in place? Hell no. And NOW apparently the manager, and Poch, is the problem Let's be honest some of the deadwood had to go but the problem is, we didn't replace the outgoings with a similar level of quality. Spending 130 million on Cucurella and Mudryk and they've been bang average so far, then spending 30+ million on Madueke who isn't even part of the first team...not to mention the 75 million spent on Fofana and he's probably another bad injury away from early retirement. Losing Rudiger, Christensen, Kovacic and even an injured Kante has set us back 5 years. I'm keen to see what the plan is moving forward as the only things to look forward to are: - Nkunku getting fit and linking up with Palmer/Enzo and co - The development of Colwill, Gusto, Palmer

But all at once? I just hate how impulsive the new ownership is They're so eager to tear things up so quickly. I know there are cases where you need to rip the bandaid off, but was there really such a need for haste in Chelsea's case? It was a top 3 team, and not one with ageing pensioners. IMO, after losing Jorgino, they should have tried to retain at least one of Kovacic or Kante for midfield experience. There is just too much pressure on the likes of Enzo and Caicedo to deliver. To think that they were ready to ship Gallagher too (average he may be). That's just how much they are prepared to gamble. NikkiCFC 8,326
We were 8 points behind 5th place which is our goal before this round and still the same after tonight results. Now start to win some games to catch them. Next 6 games are winnable before Liverpool.

It doesn’t matter if we are 8 points or 80points off 5th we ain’t getting it. This group of players is inconsistent at best and shit their pants whenever it counts. We should be happy if we finish top half. Sure theoretically if we tuen around Form and string 5+ wins together it’s doable but for this group of players it utopian. Whenever they surprisingly are in the mood, play well and win, they will just think job done and tank the next game bc they simply don’t give a fk. After the kick off suddenly seem less so...just take one as it comes or it'll drive you mad haha. Apart from Man U and guess Newcastle the other 4 were winnable...hopefully can win a fair few if not..bad times

It's pretty simple stuff, counter with pace, pressure the opposition's defenders and cause mistakes (they were basically gifted 2 goals from Trippier....even the commentator on my service mentioned that Trippier has been the best everton player in the second half). Not to defend them but it was 40+ million which would have helped with FFP concerns moving forward (same reason why they were keen on Chalobah and Maatsen sales). Vesper 30,195
Liverpool cult hero may have played final game Joël Matip's injury has come at a cruel time for the defender. The Cameroonian ruptured his ACL in the 4-3 win against Fulham and could be set to miss the rest of the campaign. Not only it is cruel because the 32-year-old was in fine form, but this is likely to be his final season as a Liverpool player, with his contract winding down at the club, expiring next June. Jürgen Kopp confirmed that Matip had ruptured his ACL after the win against Sheffield United, and while the length of his stay in the treatment room is uncertain at this stage, there is a high chance we may never see him in a red shirt again, denying Matip the send-off he would duly deserve.
