Jase 43,479
Has anyone seen Liverpool's fixtures? Their first seven away games - Stoke (cruel twist of fate!), Arsenal, Man United, Everton, Spurs, Chelsea and Man City. Worth putting a bet on Rodgers getting the sack within the first 10-15 games... BlueLion. 21,491
Just to double check, we can't do that in any shape or form?Nope. Its ridiculous. You can do what I've done and post an article mentioning some of the fixtures, when they are, and link the article to a news item containing the fixtures, but nope, we're not allowed to. Man City second up is not ideal
HRiver 1,512
Man City game is a bit earlier than I would have liked, otherwise the schedule looks pretty decent.
OhForAGreavsie 6,075
Starting against Swansea at home is decent but the first four away games - Man City, West Brom, Everton and Newcastle...yikes! Only picked up 5 points from those games last season, albeit one of them was a dead rubber.Or 4 even. Jase
Jase 43,479
Or 4 even. Wooops. Accidentally counted the Newcastle result as a draw.
OhForAGreavsie 6,075
Wooops. Accidentally counted the Newcastle result as a draw. The club will put on a parade if we get a point at Newcastle! :) The Chels, Jase and BlueLion.
Tomo 21,751
The start we have is brutal.
Viper22 2,418
Away games in 4 of our 6 games after CL games. City away in only 2 of their 6 after CL games. That could be a telling difference, especially if we get an Eastern Bloc team in our group and have miles to travel. Hutcho 8,443
Meh who cares. Start at home and finish at home is nice. The rest can be whatever it wants. There's always gonna be a team with a tricky start, or tricky christmas period or tricky run in. Everyone plays everyone. Everyone will never be happy with any fixture list ever. Everyone will never be happy with any fixture list ever.Under Mourinho I would rather have a very hard middle or end than start.Mou's blueprint for title's is starting like a steamtrain and staying at the top come hell or high water, his team's don't have a good track record of chasing down team's, which is what we could well have to do this time looking at those fixtures. But on the flip side if we end October top it would be a very very strong position. Pizy 18,918
Prefer to have a tough start myself with an easier Christmas period and run in.Sort of glad we have both City and Everton away out of the way so early. Two of the toughest away games. Barbara
