Can't see us doing anything decent this season, but if he somehow manages to pull something out of the bag then no, but changed like Torres off for Kalou when we could at least have had Sturridge there pisses me off.

He took just a few more minutes than expected while sprinting from Bolton, otherwise he was a shoe-in. The 4th official was going crazy complaining about heavy the numbers board is.

Vecause those estavlished, in your own words 'world class' are running out of fuel, which itself causes fuel to meaningless discussions or threads or even suggestions, like this one!

They're running out of fuel because senior players like Lampard, Drogba are forced to play every minute of every game. They can still do a job as part of a squad, Giggs is 37 and still performing for Utd because there is rotation at that club. Drogba 32 and has just played against Everton, Sunderland and Liverpool =270 minutes in 7 days and you wonder why they're running out of fuel.

This is compeltely irrelevant and the team SAF took over did not have half as much talent as this Chelsea team does.

I put it to you that any decent manager would be getting far better results with this group of players.

Yes, we're having a poor season, but to say he should be out is quite ridiculous. This is not down to just the manager, but also the players. It's not entirely his fault that the lads don't look like they could give two shits... the money that they get at the end of the week is all they care for, really.

...and that is down to the manager.

They gave two shits under Mourinho and Hiddink. They could inspire players and also change things when the game wasn't going our way. Ancelotti doesn't have a clue most of the time.

Because we are in the middle of a transitional peroid, hence why we have the smallest squad in the league and why we have added to the squad in the window - two players that add options. In what way should getting rid of Carlo do in the middle of this peroid? It could break us!

Like it has been said, Man Utd had there own peroid where they brought in young players, and it is know they have the options for a rotation. I have to admit, Carlo is stubborn to keep on relying on the same players when they are clearly not playing to the standard, but with the pressure he is under from narrow minded fans, he hasn't got the confidence to explore his options with the youngsters - and also, how would that youngster be like if he made a mistake during a game that made us lose the game pyschogically?

Football has more depth then: buy player, sell player, make a first team selection - yet many few people can acknowledge that it takes time for things to fit into place, ie Torres and David Luiz to establish themselves. We could still win the FA Cup and the CL with these players if we can find some kind of inspiration, but i would acknowledge that this season is the season for the development of the face of Chelsea, rather then any trophy we will, could have won. Any trophies that we win this season would be an add on to that.

Or maybe they chose to give two shits under Mourinho and Hiddink? Maybe they choose not to give a shit under Carlo?

But yeah, it's easier to blame one man rather than 11.

It sucks but Carlo does not seem to have any tactical knowledge what so ever, as soon as we play a team that plays very defensively he does not have a clue. When We played Inter last year he was outshined by Mourinho. This was also going to be the season when we should give our young players a chance, he did not start sturridge in a single premier league match. Instead he used Drogba who at the time suffered from malaria. In this game he subs Torres when he played better then Drogba. So if he goes in the summer i will not be disappointed even if he won us the double. Lets not forget that ancelotti also got a big paycheck....

Hey I agree with some of what you're saying but today result is the straw that broke the camel's back. We have had every excuse under the sun this season; squad depth, injuries, Wilkins, cost-cutting you name it we've used it. But the biggest problem is the manager.

You cannot honestly tell me that somebody like Hiddink or Mourinho would not be getting better results with this team. Once you accept that point you realise just how poorly this team is being mismanaged,

Wonder why. If you can't instill hunger and desire in your players then you are a failure of a coach. Add to that his failings as a tactician and Ancelotti is coming across as a really rubbish manager,

What if Carlo says all the right things to instill hunger and desire and the players just turn a deaf ear to it. You have to realise that the players can be at fault to when it comes too self motivation and all that. Does Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Cech really need Carlo to tell them "Hey guys important game, must win. So run around and look arsed about it all"?

But yeah, blaming one guy is easier than blaming 11.

For crying out loud.

He delivered the double on his 1st season playing some brilliant football in the process, i never thought ill see us ever score 7/8 in a match let alone do it 5 times in a year.

Its the players that aint performing and we also lost to a rejuvinated side who nabbed a goal and played 2 banks of defence all game.

The problem is Jose raised the bar by coming in and winning back to back titles with ease, evreybody expects the same when any manager comes in and Jose is a 1 off.

How do you know Hiddink would have done much better? he flopped when he was at Real and despite the good result's we werent invincible, we nearly blew a 4 GOAL LEAD at HOME to Bolton (Deco last minute clearance off the line saved that from happening) we nearly blew a healthy 3-1 lead from the Anfield game at Stamford Bridge, theres no guarentee Hiddink would have done any better.

Before today we won 4 games out of 5 scoring 18 in the process, we aint back in a crisis just yet because we have lost one.

But then it's down to the manager to drop these players because they're putting his job at risk, no?

It's no coincidence that all of our players are playing bad and all of them lack confidence.

Even if we come outside the top 4, we gotta keep him because we cant make the club unstable. There are genuine good teams in the prem now, coming outside the top 4 wouldn't be a huge shock.

Chelsea

Man Utd

Arsenal

Man City

Tottenham

Liverpool

We can't all be in the top 4. 2 have to miss out and one of these seasons it may well be us.

Drop them for who exactly? On the bench is Kalou who everyone criticises anyway. Ramires wasn't even on the bench. Ferreira for Bosingwa gets laughed at. Anelka played a blinder last time round so don't tell me you wanted him dropped before this match. We don't have a bench ffs. So drop those guys for whom?

You cannot honestly tell me that somebody like Hiddink or Mourinho would not be getting better results with this team. Once you accept that point you realise just how poorly this team is being mismanaged,

The team can only play as good as the next one - Drogba being out of form meaning that essential we have no striker - that is what the foundation Carlo has to work with, and i believe that should Benayoun not have been injured for so long, he could have been a creative spark that we have needed, feeding the ball forward as well as driving the play up field.

But, sacking Carlo with destroy any harmony with the players, a harmony when in full swing makes us a goal machine! Excuses is what it is though, we are trying to make reasoning for something that is simple, it IS the squad depth. When you have one player that is out of form, and another player who can play there - the simple solution is simple, play the other player. But what happens if that first player, on his day, could turn a game on it's head? That is the problem we are faced. We have inconsistent performances from our players, something which truly Carlo cannot predict, and without another player who can turn the game around, we have only one oprion: hope.

We can only hope that the said player will have his day and turn the game in or advantage. And of course, that isn't what is happened for us. I believe in the summer, the era of change will be upgraded - change not from the position of manager, bur from his perspective. Maybe it's Roman's perspective, or maybe there needs to be some kind of communication between both Carlo and Roman, to what needs to be done next for the transition to settle right.

In the end, success is only needed by our greedy narrow minded fans that just want to ahve something to show off in oppositions fans. If they can understand that young players like Kakuta and Sturridge with top young international players like Ramires and David Luiz are slowly being molded into the first team, then maybe they can establish that success maybe on the horizon and maybe in a larger and more frequent number.
