primax79 79
we have more than enough money you mug. just feel it is not money well spent.Chelsea has not enough moneyMaybe Abramovich has, but cannot spend them because of FPFso Chelsea does not has 70 (or even 63) Millions to spend for whatever player, you have to consider you have to pay in one time without any mortage
Bosnian Blue 2,471
so Chelsea does not has 70 (or even 63) Millions to spend for whatever player, you have to consider you have to pay in one time without any mortageWe can buy your first 11 if we want to. But if we pay this kind of money now every club would do to us what Napoli is doing, so you won't see those 70M.

bluesman2610 1,418
I say if we really want him we just wait until Aug 10th when the clause becomes null and void and he can go for his true valuation and not an inflated cost of someone who thinks they can strongarm chelsea into paying more for a player than he is actually worth.. we did this twice before in terms of strikers I doubt that we will be doing this again

ZanSnake 1,211
I am really starting to fucking hate the whole summer transfer window. It seems to be more like a fucking soap opera then an actual business transaction. Go in, if they say more, go onto someone else - simples! But of course this will last till August, and the first game of the PL only for him to chose another club and be a huge waste of time

And if Napoli blocks his move to a team he wishes to go to then you end up with an unhappy player and unhappy player equals transfer request and that equals reduced price not more

In all the quotes by ADL he said 63m nothing less.. Even goes back to him stating that if cavani waits until the clause is over he is not a man.. ADL knows his position is weakened if no one pays the clause because it forces him to get less for a player he currently values so high..

If he isn't gonna sell for 50 mil it doesn't matter if there is a 63 mil clause there or not. Not in this window.Everyone knows we can afford it. So they have no reason to suddenly lower their asking price. If we don't pay the clause we don't get him. If the clause isn't there, we would still have to pay around that figure. Maybe if we wait until deadline day, there may be some wiggle room, because it would be the last possible chance. But even if that is the case he won't go for much less than the release clause in this window.

Look at the modric saga no one would pay the 50m for him he goes 33m- 17m less than the asking price
ChelseaFanUK 1,014
So that Italian guy says Chelsea can't afford Cavani but Roman can? Christ he is hilarious, he does know Roman owns Chelsea right? Little bit of news for you Italian guy, we just signed a £300m sponsorship deal, so if we wanted we could quite easily slap 63m on ADL desk, but why do that when Cavani and ADL are due to meet apparently and Cavani could easily hand in a transfer request therefore forcing ADL hand.
