CHOULO19 24,332
In yesterday's video from training he looks like he was working out well in the summer, he seems to have been working on physical strength.
Badboy 1,526
If we get Oscar then I think it'll be a huge blow to Josh. KonohasOrangeFlash
BleedsBlue 1,549
The age is not an excuse for him to not start for Chelsea. We may not be like Arsenal but I see a lot of potential in Josh and feel that he deserves to play regularly.RDM believes in his youth prospects and hopefully he will give him the chance he has been waiting for.In my opinion,it would be best if we sell Essien and Malouda so that Josh could move up the pecking order. pHaRaOn
Popular Post! Peace. 4,352 Posted July 10, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted July 10, 2012 It should be accepted as a general consensus here, that, we should not overhype our youngsters. It happens with every one of them, we even go as far as to say they are finished if they haven't reach a world-class level by the age of 20. bababoom, LDN Blue, Justin_3d and 2 others

Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
A midfield being built full of young players regularly getting first team action does not seem good for the kid.
Blue Armour 4,439
I think loaning him to a championship side would be a lot worse. He's supposed to be a midfield creator that thrives on the clever runs made by other players. This is why I think he'll be more successful playing alongside members of the senior team (just like his pre-season form showed). Sending him to a side like Burnley would only make him dull and ineffective.
CHOULO19 24,332
I thought I'd move the discussion here:Where else will he be able to play then?I thought he could get the Lamaprd kind of role.Although I am not totally convinced that Josh can't operate in the double pivot role along side a more defensive-minded midfielder, I believe that his best place to utilize his strengths is a bit further up the field in the CAM position. But I don't see that happening with the players we currently have in that role.

You can see how comfortable he is in the games he played in the Carling cup.
Spike 12,049
A lot of people seem to think that McEachran is the next big thing for England behind Wilshere....oh the hilarity if he chooses Scotland over England.

I’m a Chelsea player and I want to play for Chelsea. But if the manager wants to send me out on loan then that’s up to him at the end of the day.’Despite his reputation as one of the best emerging English talents, Under 21 star McEachran managed just two starts for Swansea last season. And he admits he would want certain guarantees over his first-team chances if he is to be loaned out this summer.‘Last season was frustrating because the whole reason I went to Swansea was to play games,’ he said. ‘In football there are always setbacks — it’s about how you deal with them.’

Hutcho 8,443
I think he has to be loaaned out. Doubt he will get a look in this season, since we have a stacked midfield. No point letting him sit on the bench all season IMO. zolayes
Shane 2,275
I'd love to see Romeu and Josh in the holding roles over the preseason. Both have excellent passing for a young age. Josh playing in the Pirlo role.
