@Lumh, I will respectfully agree to disagree. It was not a movie I would normally choose to go see but it was my husband's turn to pick the movie. He and I have an agreement that we alternate who picks the movie, that way I don't end up always at action flicks and he is not always at romantic comedies or period dramas (chick flicks as he calls them). LOL

Inglious Bastards definitely was not a chick flick.

Well, if you still respectfully disagree, I'm going to have to call The Beeear Jew :Goober:

All joking aside, I understand why women might not like it, in all likelihood it's the violence that will put them off. I personally think it's QT's second best work after Pulp Fiction.

Poorly written

Poorly acted save for a few characters

Historically inaccurate to the point of me slapping my head. hell I find it exploitative of WW2.

Jumps from character to character, from point to point. Without any cohesion or direction.

Poorly fleshed out ideas especially concerning the Basterds and that Blonde woman. Either could have been great for an individual movie but not in the same. It feels like two movies mashed together to make one.

It's soooooo boring.

I disagree with all that. It has all the elements that are necessary for a movie to be truly great, imo. Storyline is original, it is superbly written, it has superb cinematography and camera work, an excellent soundtrack, and almost all the performances are superb.

Also, what do you mean with historically inaccurate? I mean, the basterds

blow Hitler's brains out
in the final chapter of the movie, do you seriously think Tarantino had no idea that this never happened? IB is created entirely by QT's genius, it was never meant to be a realistic depiction of WW2. I feel that this is precisely what makes it so unique.

Exam season all over the world? May really is a shit month. I'm done with my exams tomorrow although it's merely a formality now.

Why do courses rely so much on theory? Everyone says you need to learn things, understand things but in the end, theoretical knowledge is also given so much importance. that is fucked up imo. Theory is just remembering a bunch of stuff and shitting it out during exams

I've pissed off almost every teacher of mine because I've argued about this topic with them. Always ended up me being rewarded a shit grade in the next exam. One would think they understand what I'm talking about as they went through the same shit.
