I think he is actually really happy with what he achieved and with the part he played in most of this trophies. He won it all. And I don't think he has so much confidence to play at top level for long. So, that move kinda makes sense.

That's not the way footballers think about it. They all want to better their pockets. Once football is over with and they retire they might not have anything else to fall on, so they set up their lives for the future and that's including their families.
