Ramires

Persistent thigh muscle strain he's got. Just put a picture on Instagram from the bench last night.

Like Jose said, he can play if needed but he won't be 100% and it might affect how long it will take for him to recover completely.

Still, might be worth the risk calling him up for Newcastle with Matic's absence.

I like Ramires, and I know Jose like him too. But anyone have a feeling like me, that somehow Ramires's time is running out? Yes, there is an unfortunate injury, but he is no longer our 'important' or 'key' player, even if he is fit.

I would not be surprised if in the next summer we will sell him if the right offer coming in.

He hasn't played a lot this season, mainly because of his injuries.Think he's still a keyplayer when fit, just look at all the big games we've played with him. Everton away, City away, Liverpool away even when he wasn't 100% fit. Mikel is filling his role right now, but normally Ramires would be the one who is partnering Matic.

Matic, Rami, Cesc didn't really work at Everton, yes I know we won 6-3 but it was a game of football ping pongthat could hhave easily ended up 6-3 in Evertons favour too.

I think Matic and Mikel will be the partnership when we head to Paris, Ramires is a utility player now which frankly should have been the case from day one.

He played on the right wing against City and Liverpool. I don't think Jose trusts him in the midfield 3 anymore.
