Garnacho probably grouchy because he was probably expecting to start against Arsenal in the cup game, given the goals he scored in the first fixture. Moody player, and we knew that when getting him.

Either he bucks up or he goes the way of Jadon Sancho.

First half is entirely on him though. Piss poor selection. Should’ve taken Garnacho & Hato off same time Gittens came off.

Ok in all fairness, he does eventually but his decisions from minute 1 led to us being outplayed for 45 minutes by a team in the bottom half.

Cannot just rock up after the game and act like he isn’t due criticism after just getting past 18th placed West Ham.

Same issues reared there head as before with players & previous managers - lack the mentality to get up for these types of games from the get go. Group of players need to take responsibility but also needs stronger characters added to the group.

Easy said, then when our main team is injured because we can’t rest them against bottom 3 West Ham, that’s the problem, cucu is a must for most games, hato should be fine, garnacho was horrific, fofana is injury prone but again bads was horrific! If we played our strongest team and won 3-0 ppl would say we should have rested x y and z

Perhaps but then again, you cannot afford to let guys like Garnacho & Hato in particular play as badly for as long as they did today. Yes he subs them at HT but should’ve been ruthless and done a lot earlier to no complaints. And maybe if he had, we get going a bit sooner because that left side was an absolute joke between Badiashile, Hato & Garnacho. I don’t think I’ve seen such a bad attacking performance from an individual player since Ramires v Man City under Rafa, honestly abysmal.

Do agree he has to find time to rest them but West Ham is a derby match irregardless of their current standing. And notoriously, teams in the bottom half of the table are the sort of games we’ve really struggled with the past 3 + seasons or so due to going through the motions/underestimating the opposition/not being up for it from minute 1 etc etc. Again nothing changed.

There isn’t sufficient quality or experience where he can leave the likes of Cucurella out knowing his replacement will comfortably perform because they’ve proven himself as reliable. Or someone like Pedro Neto or Joao Pedro. Which screams big problems given they aren’t exactly top elite footballers. But we’ve got the overlords to blame for that.

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior says Arsenal showed his side a lack of respect during the warm-up for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Rosenior was seen angrily shouting at those from the Gunners side to stay on their half of the pitch and not encroach on Chelsea's area as the teams prepared for the game at Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal winning 1-0 to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory.

"It wasn't the players," said Rosenior. "When you warm up, you have your half and the other team have their half.

"I've never asked my team or coaches to encroach on the opposition's territory. In that moment, I didn't think it was right where they were operating, they were affecting our warm up.

"I asked them, maybe not politely, to make sure they stay in their half. I'm not here to have mind games, it's just what I think is right and respectful. Hopefully, we respect that and other teams do too."

He added: "There are certain etiquettes in football.

"I don't have an issue with anyone at Arsenal Football Club. [Arsenal manager] Mikel [Arteta] is someone I've got so much respect for. It was just in that moment, I didn't think that respect was shown to my team."

To be fair if there wasn’t an improvement/change in forward passes I would’ve been shocked, particularly given who we have played with Rosenoir & that new manager bounce every team gets 99/100 times. There is plenty evidence to see that the change isn’t that big.

Anyone expecting that going from Maresca to Rosenoir is going to be like going from Jose to Pep, you’re sadly mistaken. Both are very similar. Rosenoir perhaps more flexible but Maresca had also shown himself to be flexible in certain games here. Its the majority of his body of work here though that was disappointing, given how inflexible the team were say 80-85% of the time.

Will see how it goes during the rest of the season. The tougher games are coming now, starting in March. At the end of the season, will give us a huge indication of how much of a difference there is & I doubt it will be that much. They are very much cut from the same cloth like most modern managers these days.

Generous run of games to start.  After Burnley next weekend it gets real.  Arsenal, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, City then United

Liverpool after that as well..very harsh run. Only 4 out of the 12 we have coming up we won last time round..

And we wil either sink or swim, we need to step up, it can't all be Hull away

Its really up to the players, by the time United come to the bridge in April, we will either be in the top 4 race or well out of it.

Liverpool have a decent run up until Everton away and then a tricky run-in for the last 4 games.

Chelsea’s bid to return to winning ways in the Premier League against Arsenal at the weekend has been made all the more difficult.

With that in mind, here’s the latest Chelsea injury news and potential return dates...

Estevao

Chelsea were dealt a new injury worry before kick-off against Burnley as when the team news was announced, Estevao’s name was nowhere to be seen on the sheet.

Estevao’s absence sparked concern among supporters and it was later confirmed by Rosenior that the Brazilian had sustained a hamstring issue in training.

“Unfortunately yesterday in the training session, he felt awareness in his hamstring,” the Blues head coach said prior to the Burnley game.

“At the moment we are scanning it to make sure it’s nothing too serious but he’s unavailable for today’s game and we will see from there.”

Speaking after the draw with Burnley, Rosenior delivered an update: “And with Estevao, we're doing our assessments and scans on him now.”

Potential return date: Unknown

Reece James

The Chelsea captain made his first Premier League appearance since the 3-2 win over West Ham at the end of January.

However, he did not complete the full 90 minutes against Burnley as he was substituted just before stoppage time as Rosenior attempted to shore up his defence.

While Rosenior appeared in some panic to get Josh Acheampong ready to replace James, the Blues boss has allayed any fears surrounding the 26-year-old ahead of the Arsenal game.

Rosenior said: “Reece, it was just, honestly, he's so important to us as the captain, as the world-class player that he is.

“Any sign of fatigue with him, I want to get him off the pitch. I need him for [the] Arsenal [game]. He should be absolutely fine.

Potential return date: March 1 vs Arsenal (A)

Marc Cucurella

Chelsea’s ever reliable left-back was forced off at half-time against Leeds with a hamstring complaint and has subsequently missed the win over Hull and the draw with Burnley.

Amid reports Marc Cucurella could be sidelined for up to a month, Rosenior was asked for the latest on the Spain international on Thursday.

“I can't give an exact timeframe on Marc,” Rosenior said in the pre-match press conference.

“He suffered a hamstring injury just before half-time in the Leeds game. It's a real shame because he's an outstanding player, and one of the best left-backs in the world.

“It’s a shame not to have Marc available but we have Jorrel [Hato] and we have Malo [Gusto] who can play on that side, so we have really good players that can cover.

“Of course, the sooner Marc gets back, the better.”

Potential return date: Unknown

Jamie Gittens

Jamie Gittens limped off during the comeback win over West Ham and is set for a long spell on the sidelines with a “tear in his hamstring”.

"Jamie is looking a little bit more long-term,” said Rosenior. "That’s a real shame for him as, obviously, I’ve not worked with him for too long, but I know about his career and what an outstanding player he is.

“So that’s going to be a big miss for us."

Potential return date: Unknown

Filip Jorgensen

Chelsea’s back-up goalkeeper has had a mixed time of things lately. Substituted at half-time of the Champions League win over Pafos with a muscle injury, he made a return quicker than expected and was named on the bench against Napoli.

However, he dropped out of the matchday squad for games against West Ham, Arsenal and Wolves. He was expected to be available for the cup tie against Hull but missed out once again.

Speaking before the 4-0 win over Hull, Rosenior said: “Filip's not fully fit at the moment. He's working really hard on his rehab.”

Potential return date: Unknown

Dario Essugo

Dario Essugo has not had much luck since joining Chelsea in the summer and suffered a fresh setback after being named on the bench for cup ties against Charlton and Arsenal in January.

“Dario has picked up a really unfortunate injury. He slipped in training, and he’s going to be out for a while,” Rosenior revealed.

“We expect him to be out for over a month, which is a real shame because he’s an outstanding player.”

Potential return date: March

Levi Colwill

Levi Colwill is continuing his recovery from the serious knee injury he suffered in pre-season.

Rosenior has said the defender is progressing well and could even be in line for a return to action before the end of the season.

“Yes he could [be back before the end of the season] but it’s step by step and I don’t want to make promises that I can’t keep,” the Chelsea head coach revealed.

“At the moment, Levi’s in a really good place. He’s on the right track but I don’t want to put pressure on him.

“I spoke to Levi this morning. He's working so hard and what a professional he is. It's been brilliant to see him back on the pitch running. He's itching to get back but we need to make sure he feels 100 per cent perfect.

“He’s another outstanding player I can’t wait to work with and he’s in a really good place. I don’t like putting timeframes on injuries because it puts unnecessary pressure on players when their health is the most important thing.”

Potential return date: May
