Our first league win of the year, and we have our defenders to thank for that. A meh performance which leaves me worried ahead of City at the weekend.

Jackson coasting for most of the game because there isn't anyone else the manager trusts.

Jorgensen should be getting a look in too.

IMO Neto was coasting in this game more than Jackson.

Jackson as usual worked hard, but poor decisions in the box.

No surprise that the only time he put the ball in the net in this game, was when he knew he was offside and would have no consequence for missing.

But at least he had a minor impact on the scoreline by winning the free kick for the Madueke (Chalobah) goal.

The real would-be villain of this game was Sanchez.

Neto was subbed off, though. Guiu & Nkunku exist, so there is absolutely no reason that Jackson didn't suffer a similar fate.

How long can we keep saying his decision making was poor where it matters most. We need someone would has shown signs they could be the next big thing in this league (Duran) or someone already productive in front of goal (Isak, etc). Top 4, two potential cup triumphs are possible & lets not forget, a CWC will follow shortly after our league season finishes.

If we are going to seriously relying on Jackson as our sole CF for 6 more months, we'll fall short on multiple fronts. I'd say a reliable GK & CF could have a massive impact.

Thought all our forwards were poor but the we definitely need to find a no. 9 urgently.  Where though I do not know.  Guarantee tho with a prolific striker everyone will perform better.

Take the three points but for fucks sake that was torture to watch again, the same old pattern, batter them for 40 minutes, foot came off the gas and as soon as they strung 3 passes together they were killing us and heads went. You can actually see when the goal/s are coming, it's like you have had a dream and you can see it.

If anyone on this forum comes out and says Sanchez is the man and that he deserves to be here then I'm sorry you are ready for the fucking nut house. This bloke is quite possibly one of the worst keepers I have seen in my life. The bloke is an absolute bag of nerves, he is shit with the ball at his feet, so much so when it goes back to him you can hear it in the crowd, they actually groan.

The goals last night, fucks sake what an absolute shit show

Didn't he get demoted to like 3rd choice keeper at Brighton for a period of time?    And yet, our sporting directors thought it was a good idea to sign him for 25 million or whatever the fee was.

People used to say Kepa was bad, but Sanchez is just as bad.

The way Madueke just nicked Chalobah's goal, makes me even more sure that he's only playing for his stats and Fifa card rating. The way he ran to the corner flag to celebrate (which in my opinion is a little too much for a goal scored in that manner), makes him look really desperate.

Read this from the wanker -

‘It’s attacker’s instinct. I think I knew it was going over the line, and I said sorry to Trev after. An assist on his first game back is great for him, but I had to put it in the net!

‘He’s my brother! He was saying, ‘No way you took my goal, no way you took my goal!’, but I said, ‘Bro, you have to understand this is what they pay me to do!’
