Good post and its not easy to say , even I would be laughed at if I said I knew the answer, none of us do but I said it earlier as an example, Jackson had his best performances as RW, it was something different right? which you expect from a young team.

Why in the final, against a weak Liverpool, is he playing the same shit he's played all season that we know don't work? thats the Manager, surely?

But that's my point, if the players were good enough to slot the ball in the net, no one here would have an issue, the players get a far too easy ride here! We have become obsessed with blaming the managers for our problem when in reality if the players were as good as some on here make out! We should have won that 4-0

But do you blame a young team or an "experienced manager" for not doing something different when we know the outcome already with this team and system?

I usually agree with what your saying when the Manager is a proven winner like Mourinho, you know what happens next week :-

Mourinho - Don't talk to him for 6 months

Poch- Invites to BBQ

I blame the entire club, our injury list is still huge, and we are in the exact same situation we have been in for 2 years! The tactics were working in the 90 mins, we had a hand full of opportunities to score and the players and only the players fucked that up! He did change it up in extra time and Poch fucked it up playing for penalties, that's on him

Sorry but I feel Penalties where always in Poch's mind here, no good for this "young" team, it's the same feeling every week from me, we are too relaxed, happy with the "project" and being mid table, completely different to what he was saying pre-season that this is Chelsea and we need to win. WEAKNESS, get him gone, FRANK or MOURINHO , prefer Frank lol Jose too old I agree but Poch is dog shit.

Poch is to be blamed, we had Pool pinned in regular time. His substitutions and tactics allowed Pool to settle in and get opportunities. Extra time should have favored Chelsea, Chelsea had experienced players, it was time to be aggressive and go for the kill.

Poch has been coaching in England for almost a decade, and still has zero trophies. This game proved another reason why is trophyless.

Sorry but I think your wrong, the plan looked from my prospective to hit Liverpool on the counter and it worked and it worked well we had the chances the tactics gave us and we fucked up, but the end of the game the players were absolutely shattered, this is why I think he went for penalties.

And yet it was still our starting XI against Liverpool’s C team + Academy all 120 mins. One WC player shouldn’t be the determining factor. Particularly when the manager set the team up for failure all extra time. Blame the players all you want but Poch concedes matches and manages in the moment.

Haven’t won a big game all season.

Agreed on the C liverpool team bit, but like I stated (and other have too) we DID create chances and more than once even before the C team was on the pitch. Their C team was only really on the pitch in the final moments of the match, when everybody was tired. Although I think Madueke and Mudryk are really far from good enough, I understand the manager when he employs them for their pace and fresher legs... and that's what he had on the bench. 🤷‍♂️

Regarding the WC... I think that term is tossed around way too easily, but truly WC players are typically the ones who can win these kind of matches for you. I think Virgil is in that category and I simply don't see any player in our roster capable of doing that at this time. Diaz was a handful to deal with today for example; that's also a player we don't have and I'm not even talking about quality (perhaps Palmer will get there soon), but characteristics with that short dribbling and quick changes of direction.

I think its quite simple, as I said earlier. A world class manager wins us this game every day of the week and twice on Sunday. We had every advantage possible and didnt take any advantage once in my opinion,

Who were the last managers to lose finals before this, the previous 5?

we have loser, gutless players, and a clueless manager

its a shitshow

fucking yanks have destroyed the club in 2 years

Sadly, our days as an elite club are gone.

We are on the same level like Aston Villa, Wolves, Brighton etc.

Maybe in 20 years time we will be back at the top.. or further down the league system.

I blame Boehly and Clownlake more than all the rest put together

£1.2 BILLION spent and we have mostly trash atm

I don't, We have a good squad in terms of age and potential etc, just not 1 of them has improved under stubborn coaching that has been proven over years to win 0.

Do I think Frank Lampard would have won that Cup? Probably not a gurantee but he would have had as much a chance as Poch did Today. We would at least have seen something different, we are going nowhere under Poch.

He really hasn’t learned a thing from his time off of management. Still reactive. Still concedes matches. Still poor tactical discipline.

I dread the rest of the season.

especially the potential points deduction or straight relegation coming before the 2025/26 season kicks off, and likely sooner

we probably have only have 51 EPL games MAX left until possibly years in the Championship
