in QF give me winner of this.

the 3 worst teams to play in the QFs, SF, and Final, would be Pool, Arse, and NUFC (any order)

after them that leaves Manure and West Ham

if they both win their next games (meaning they knock out NUFC and Arse), that means those 2, and especially Pool are our biggest threats

probably wouldve lost this one too if there was a var.

Blackburn are shite

14th in the Championship with a negative 7 GD

their highest valued player has no goals, no assists in around 400 minutes of play

suspect he was referring to Brighton ("this" match).

Hard to say... I think the red was a sure thing, but there or or two PK calls that could get lucky in slo-mo VAR.

Regarding Blackburn, good draw to give some players some minutes.

I really liked the intensity of Chelsea in the second half, with Cucurella and Mudryk committing themselves to the performance. Palmer was the best player on the pitch for me though, dare I say it, he looks like a younger Havertz?

Would it be sacrilege to suggest that without Silva Chelsea could push up the pitch making it easier to press and maintain the intensity?

I saw Palmer, Mudryk and Jackson all over the highlights - so I assume they all had a decent game?

Though I do see people saying Mudryk was meh?

Was Maatsen okay? I'd like to see more of him. If Chilly is injured, we may just see him at LB, as hopefully Poch is stopping Levi there and giving Silva some rest too.

If you are going to watch the game on replay, skip the first half a lot of missed opportunities for both teams. Crappy officiating. The second half is worth watching, but the ref does not get any better.

I thought Palmer did well but only criticism was that he got muscled off the ball way too easily sometimes. More pros than cons but few times lost the battle way too easily. Maybe needs to develop on the physical side. Mudryk had a good game and caused a lot of issues and you can see his confidence growing. Colwill solid as a rock. Good to see him play his natural position too. Feels good to experience a win again. Well fought as well against a very good team.

Agreed that Palmer did well, and yes, struggled physically, which is what you'd expect from most young players.

Jackson had a fairly poor game, but scored when it mattered (nice assist by Palmer).

Colwill was solid indeed.

Maatsen looked promising in moments, but in and out of the match.

Mudryk was overall fairly poor as usual: poor decisions, couldn't beat anyone either showing too much of the football or his legs, passes straight to the goal line. The effort was there, but not the quality. He can find nice passes at times, but a bit of speed and good passing does not a top PL player make.

In the dying moments of the match Sterling was on the left marking someone, possibly Lamptey, who tried to turn around on him; he was tightly marking the player, and ultimately fouled him stopping the match and giving his side precious few seconds off the clock. To my eyes, the difference between what a senior player like Sterling and the younger players do is simply night and day. These types of play won't show in highlights tho....perhaps not even on sofascore.

I just watched the extended highlights - obviously not watching the whole game my view could be distorted but:

- A lot of the highlights had our good/great chances starting with Mudryk. Was he really that poor like some suggest if he was the one creating clear cut chances again? I understand he cost a tonne, but at least he is impacting at this point, and he looks more confident. The consistency and rest of game will come. Also - a lot of the good chances actually came off the back of his defensive work to try and win the ball back, which prior I had been disappointed with.

- Palmer looks silky. Has a poise to his game. Think he should be getting starts more often.

- Can anyone comment on Maatsen? Didn't see him pop up much in the highlights aside from the goal involvement.

- Was Jackson's second goal really offside? Looked on to me.

- Broja one obviously onside.

- I think we look more direct and quicker with Silva out...
