Maybe under Poch but if/when we finally have a modern/possesion based manager it will be a Lavia/Enzo/Caicedo three with Conor (if he's still here) used appropriately as the horses for courses option.

Think in the big games it should be that midfield 3, but against the majority of clubs id want a CAM.

This is all on Clownlake - sacking all the medical staff and outsourcing because its 'cheaper' Wankers

Yes before sacking the coach or buying any players they should do a total review of the medical team. This is just un aceptable.

Getting new players or managers won't do it as they will be hamper by the incompetent of the medical team.

Its undermining and sabotaging Chelsea FC. They should be in court and jailed.

We will see but I still think people are expecting too much too soon from Lavia. I don’t think it was ever a reality that he would be starting ahead of any of those 3 and was likely going to be coming in to back up Moises perhaps.

And even then, if he did, same old question as it is now. Would that MF 3 still not be lacking severely in creativity or someone who gets in and around the box to good effect?

I mean even with Connor, it is lacking of sorts and he has probably been our best central midfielder for attacking output this season.

Instead of going hell for leather in 2 windows and getting Santos, Ugo and Lavia (all pretty much fall into that same category as more defensively minded midfielders) we probably could have signed a more creative midfielder and a more experienced campaigner for the same money if not less.

Had problems when he signed from Soton! why the fuck did they sign him then?

I bet the bin dippers are laughing their bollocks off they could of ended up with Caicedo and Labia.

Because he was some sort of must sign player. Although we’d just signed 3 CMs all of similarish profiles/roles within the previous 12 months in Santos, Ugo & Caicedo.

He was an absolute must sign, so we waited and didn’t make an offer for him until Liverpool did.

Like with Mudryk-Arsenal.

The club should adopt a policy: not to sign any players carrying any minor knocks. If they aren’t 100% healthy, don’t do it. Not hard.

This is the part that doesn't make sense, if you're going for young midfielders, you should get players that can play alongside each other...not players that will effectively be competing for the same role in the side.

There was no need for Lavia, Santos, Ugo and Casadei to come in around the same time.   2 out of 4 is more than enough.   Could have saved that money and spent on young attackers like Palmer.

If he had a knock, how did he pass the medical or was he just waved through as the club were in full blown Football Manager mode (sign all the 4 and 5 star rated talents out there).

Great game, surprised to see him go off instead of Enzo. Motm for me on our side.

Looked to me like it was probably a pre-planned sub with input from the sports scientists or something. The way Maresca almost apologized to him as he was coming off looked as if he did it to be overly cautious.

I know I’ve read before that the physio’s/sport scientists will recommend how many minutes a player should play when coming back from a long injury so maybe that’s what happened.
