Only ourselves to blame. We knew of his knee injury prior to the World Cup (and it is the same leg) yet still went through with it despite not doing some due diligence on how prone the knee is to have a reoccurring injury. 
 

You genuinely could not make this up. Looking forward to Jackson tearing his ACL next.

Christopher Nkunku underwent surgery on his knee this morning and is likely to be out for 16 weeks - three-and-a-half months - before he can resume training. Unlikely to play before December. #cfc

Club are saying extended period. I reckon that is longer than 3 months. At best that is a clean up and see how it goes but may require more surgery.
