The Next Manager?

Maybe Laurent Blanc will get the job, there's really not many options, i can think of him, Jose, Klopp and Rafa. No one else.

Klopp or Jose then...

Pep just made a coward move. He chose the easiest job of the three (Bayern, Chelsea, ManCity). He will have no transfer headaches, he only needs to buy a fullback and a ST and get rid of Gomez and Pizarro. His team is ready to challenge for any trophy. He will thrive (win a couple of Bundesliga and DFB Pokal) and he will be able to brag that it wasnt only one great spell at Barcelona...

Definitely, it's hardly a challenge to win with that Bayern team who are head and shoulders above everyone in their league.

Perhaps he is afraid to test himself in the best leage in the whole world? Match himself against the likes of Sir Alex Fergusons, Arsene Wengers without Messis, Xavis and Iniestas? Will be very interesting to see how he does in Bayern before I'll make my mind up on him as a manager compared to the greats

How is hiring the guy we sacked because he couldn't work with the owner a good idea????

The fact hes the best manager this club has ever had, by an absolute country mile, with the opportunity to replace Rafael f'ing Benitez makes it a good idea to me. If Roman cant swallow his pride and admit he was wrong on this, then more the fool him.

No class manager who wants to be successful with his club will come here, simple as that. He either has to have blue heart and Chelsea in it or has to be hungry for money.

Erm, I'm not his biggest fan but Ancelotti was in some respect a class manager and when he joined we didn't really have good reputation.

Don't know why people think Benitez will get the job. Don't see him coming back unless we have a fantastic rest of the season. We've done pretty poorly under him and he doesn't fit what Roman wants (long-term offensive vision). Don't see Mourinho back either. He doesn't fit the team we built and wants more control than Roman is willing to give up. Plus, the mess he's creating at Real Madrid this season is a reminder of the baggage he can bring. I think Roman will go with a coach of a team that does well this year. Maybe Simeone from Athletico, Petkovic from Lazio, Remi Garde from Lyon. But I can also see him trying to pry away Klopp. Or, he can get another manager: I don't really care. There are plenty of capable managers out there. I just want a manager that comes in and has say in transfers and some patience from the owner (not likely).

If true I am not bothered in the slightest. Pep here would only end badly anyway when Roman starts poking his nose in with transfers and selection of the team. If you think Pep or Jose would have put up with this Torres saga then you are wrong.

Because he had success here once doesn't guarantee it will be the same again. I just look at how things have gone for him at Madrid this season, while playing with a much better squad than ours, in a far less competitive league and worry.

I'm so happy Pep won't be coming here. Now if Jose stays put in Madrid, I'd have a look at Klopp. He is doing a brilliant job in Dortmund, remember they were struggling in midtable before he took charge and then he brought two consecutive bundesliga titles.

They don't work well together though. We saw that 5 years ago.

Klopp would be my first choice now, but if we're being honest we're simply entering into the territory of 'good managers that Roman wouldn't think twice about sacking'. That's why I wanted Pep. He's a good manager but he's also held in high regard by Roman, so there would be a lot of time afforded to him.

Honestly, I couldn't give a shit at the moment so long as it isn't Rafa.

This is a massive slap in the face for the board/Roman and you know what? They deserve it. They've shown a lack of class in dealing with people for so long thinking money fixes everything. I hope this humbles them a lot.

I agree, but I think (and stand by it) that Roman deserves one last chance to stick with a manager. I will support him with his next choice, but if he sacks another manager, he will get my full rage.
