Styles 9,790
Klopp is a smart man, he wouldn't come near Chelsea. He has a great job at Dortmund who are becoming a super-power again. His position at that club is very secure. Why leave that for a job where there is a possibility of losing your job after 3 or 4 bad results? We are not going to prise good managers away from succesful and well run clubs. The managers we sign will be free agents (Rafa) or young managers trying to make a step-up (AVB).
DDA 9,941
Because he had success here once doesn't guarantee it will be the same again. I just look at how things have gone for him at Madrid this season, while playing with a much better squad than ours, in a far less competitive league and worry.I for one can see the logic in not wanting Jose back in case he did flop, tarnishing his reputation here but how can you doubt a one of the greatest managers to have ever graced football because after one dodgy season at Real Madrid. He isn't just up against tactics and team selection, he is up against the world of Spanish football from his own Bosses right through to a notoriously vicious press. Everyone forgets what he achieved last year in a league where arguably the greatest team ever in the form of Barcelona had arguably the greatest player to have ever lived playing out his most prolific calender year yet. Yes the rest of the league is of a very poor standard in comparison to the top two clubs but Jose has everyone on his back over there and he can't fight the mounting pressure he faces successfully for the rest of his career, especially in a team full of egotistical morons such as Madrid. Mr_President 404
Good, now go for Jose please. Guardiola would have been an expensive mistake if he did indeed fail.
communicate 2,703
Wow we really have no option. I am not sure who is out there. - Klopp, he is building a good team in dortmund, he is not coming. - Simeone, a somewhat defensive coach.- mou. I think he is going to go to city if he leaves in the summerLol we are stuck with benitez
Sheva. 5,373
Can you put Arsene Wenger in the poll? I for one can see the logic in not wanting Jose back in case he did flop, tarnishing his reputation here but how can you doubt a one of the greatest managers to have ever graced football because after one dodgy season at Real Madrid. Not doubting him, there's also the fact our team is very different than the one he had here before. We've gone for smaller less physical players, how will Mourinho park the bus in big games with this team? i reckon we're looking in other directions. The only place to be 11,313
Good, now go for Jose please. Guardiola would have been an expensive mistake if he did indeed fail.Any wrong appointment will be an expensive mistake. Am I mad or do other people see some problems with us hiring Mourinho? We did sack him before didn't we? Roman is still in charge and we still have Emenalo as DoF (something Mourinho doesn't like apparently)? And the reason we know Mourinho will be available is because he's almost certainly going to be sacked by Real right??? didierforever 7,349
oh my fucking god... with pep gone, the chances of us being stuck with FSW increases a lot. on the other hand it would make roman desperate for jose... i dont know whether to be happy or sad by this news...anyways kinda relieved that Pep wont be leading us. never liked that cheating prick.. but anything would have been better than FSW... I don't want to see Mourinho return because I think it's not always a good idea for somebody who is regarded as a God to come back in case of it going wrong. Like you said it's also a case of this team not being set up for Mourinho's style of tactics. I hope we look in the direction of somebody who has the same hunger Mourinho had when he first arrived here at The Bridge.

bushman 2,043
Rafa as a coach is just fine. Soon, all you doubters & your cloudlessness will be proved otherwise.
Kostas 1,468
and we still have Emenalo as DoF (something Mourinho doesn't like apparently)?Would be very strange if true. Emenalo wasn't at the club in Mourinho's time and he is nowhere near as powerful as Arnesen. Where did you read that?
DDA 9,941
Well we had AVB and fucking fired him lol.Lol... When I was writing that, I had a feeling you would mention him. What can I say, AVB just didn't cut the mustard. He was destined to be a failure at a club of our stature and a mediocre success at a club the size of Spurs.]

If he's given the go-a head to fuck Torres off and is able to bring in Falcao and a midfielder, he can make us a powerhouse.
