For me Simeone is like Mourinho 2003-2007 (with Porto and Chelsea). He maybe plays more defensively style of football but he never parks the bus and never looks for a draw against big teams. He always tries to win.

2nd leg against Real last year, he really didn't.

People overlook Champions League final as well, obviously it was a great achievement but playing the whole game in your own box and couting on set pieces is typical Chelsea 2012.

Whoever we get not every one will be happy and doubters etc. Though if the board act they have the way in the past no doubt be opening up this poll again. They need to have more patience and not expect miracles.soon as we hit a dodgy run straight away the stories of how long start and shouldnt be like that every single time.

I am all for Simeone, but boy..... if he comes we really need to buy a whole new midfield and defence. Again, i'm repeating myself like for every other manager we had rumours about, back him up with funds and funds and funds.

On the other hand, we have a lot of attacking players, and where they will fit with Simeone here? Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Pedro..... Will he be able to work with Fabregas?

I would loooove Simeone here, but not to see him out like we just did with Mourinho.

The only thing that worries me about Simeone is his forward recruitment, unless I'm missing someone Greizman is the only real success story, the fact he signed Torres and tried to resign Falcao worries me somewhat, and his recent comments re Torres sounds similar to the constant excuses some people made for him while he was here.

Other than that this news excites me greatly, to compete with Pep and potentially José we need top brass and Diego is exactly that, plus I love the way he sets up his team, its like us under José the first time, solid defense with a lot of heart and brutally effective footy.

If he comes and makes a decent transfer window, we will be back at the right end in no time.
