Don't want Alonso

He failed in the Real dressing room and we already saw how the current Chelsea squad reacts to a manager they don't want to play for.

The funny thing is, felt like RDZ would have been our manager if he waited it out after leaving Marseille with all the brighton boys upstairs

I’m fairly convinced it’ll be Iraola at the moment. It’s the easiest appointment they could probably make because he’ll be free from a club, he’ll be fairly easy to sell to the supporters, and because I don’t know of another big club of our stature that’ll be after him this summer with Carrick seemingly more and more likely to stay at United.

With guys like Alonso it will probably be much more of a battle to convince him to come here. Even Cesc who may be smart enough to know that he could get Rosenior’d and make the jump too soon.

Any of the Spanish trio i would prefer than other names mentioned.

Give them a gold plated bucket to shit in!

If we had a stable couple of years with Maresca and was looking for a change, then I'd be all over Cesc. Unfortunately, the chaos around the club means we need a safer appointment.

MUDRYK TO PLAY FOR Chelsea AGAIN? 😱 | LAMPARD RETURN?! | Chelsea PLAYER EXODUS?

George Benson Football Chelsea

In today’s Chelsea news, we break down the latest manager updates, including links to names like Andoni Iraola, Oliver Glasner, Marco Silva and Xabi Alonso — but the big question remains… is ANY appointment actually “risk-free”?

We also dive into the huge developing story around Mykhailo Mudryk and his 4-year ban appeal to CAS, what it means for his future at Chelsea FC, and why the situation is far from straightforward.

On top of that, we look at:

UEFA financial restrictions and what they REALLY mean for Chelsea this summer
Potential player sales and transfer reality
Shock links to experienced signings like Bernardo Silva & John Stones
The truth about a possible return for Frank Lampard
Why Cesc Fàbregas could be heading elsewhere
And the latest on Marc Cucurella amid Barcelona interest

After yesterday’s deep dive into Chelsea’s finances, this is the real-time fallout — and what happens next could define the club’s future.

Matt Law Special - Chelsea's Manager Search, Players Crybabies?

This episode of London Is Blue features Nick and Matt Law analyzing the "insane" managerial instability at Chelsea following the sacking of Liam Rosenior, the club's sixth managerial change under current ownership. Law evaluates potential successors—highlighting Xabi Alonso, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva—while emphasizing that the next hire needs the "gravitas" to manage a fragile locker room that has recently "downed tools." Despite the current "bin fire" reputation and a structure that makes Roman Abramovich look "soft" by comparison, Law argues the job remains highly attractive because the squad possesses high-level talent that could be transformed by a successful summer transfer window.
