Let me propose this Courtois Azpi-Christensen-Rudiger-Emerson Kante-Diawara/Meyer/Jorginho-Barkley Fekir-Icardi-Hazard I like most of this one tho I like AC and see him in our furure hopefully for a long time Ive nit been over impressed for some of this season. U would dearly like to see KK next to Rudi and let AC cover both. Id even like to push to Telles for Emerson. I also want us to have a CM that will give us some goals/assists in the same way Lamps did. None of those do it. I would loke to see Savic with Kante. Let Sarri decide on the other from the ones we have and then have a clear out.Top 3 looks magic unles of course Eden still didn't think the new team at his level then I'd like Essensio/Bailey. Eden/Essensio/Bailey Lewa/Icardi/Dybala Fekir/Mahrez Kante Jorginho/Savic//NainggolanVidal Baks/RLC/Barkley ........ Telles/Emerson Rudi KK Dave Tibo OR NEW? Any great manager plays formation that suits the players he has. Exactly what Conte done last season, one of the best "tailoring" I have ever seen. "He played Mertens as CF so he will play Hazard as CF and whole team would press like mad". Yes, and I am Moses. Peak of this team was last season. And even if we still had Costa and Matić that wouldn't be anything close to match City, or even United. If we bring Sarri and keep the same shit transfer policy, we have done nothing. There is no way that anyone could have looked at our squad at the end of 2015/16 and felt it was suited to playing 3 at the back. We'd never tried it before and we had no players with a history of playing as a wing back. This was Conte's 'go-to' formation that he found success with at Juventus and he forced and coached our team and players into adopting 3 at the back (with great success last season no less) No one would have expected Azpilicueta could find so much success playing as a centre back. Or Moses as a wing back. But Chelsea that summer also brought 3 players in Luiz, Alonso and Kante who became key to that change in formation and style. The expectation is that Chelsea will buy 3 or 4 players to come in this summer who will suit Sarri's style. Also Conte decided to keep Moses after numerous loan spells as he felt that he suited his style. Again, we have a wealth of players out on loan and it is plausible that Sarri identifies one or two of these players to come back into the squad who would immediately suit what he would be trying to coach. Also we may have a player already in our squad who Sarri feels he can get something more out of than is currently happening. The central midfield is obviously the glaring area to strengthen. But Kante is a lock for one spot, we are almost certain to buy a new stand out midfielder to play alongside him and we have two big talents in RLC and Mount to potentially come back from loan spells. Fabregas can still do a job with regards to a possession based style, just not relied in my opinion to play every game anymore. And you just don't know what Sarri may or may not see yet in Bakayoko and Drinkwater. They've been abysmal signings but as I mentioned above, no one would have expected Moses to become so prominent in the last two years after years out in the wilderness. You're right that there are a lot of questions to be asked at the moment, but you have to believe he already has a plan that he has successfully sold to our board. Like the idea of perhaps having him more centrally but we need the right players to do so. If we take Sarri’s current system: Reina Hysaj Albiol Koulibaly Ghoulam Jorginho Allan Hamsik Callejon Mertens/Milik Insigne vs. Courtois Azpilicueta Christensen Rüdiger Emerson Diawara Kanté Hazard Bailey Icardi Martial Something like this would be mega interesting. Thinking of Hazard as an advanced CM, sort of like a Zidane role. Not saying it’d work or that’s Sarri would even try it but would be interesting. It’s a interesting team you’ve put up though. ChelseaFanUK 1,014
I read in one article earlier that according to Gazetta, Roman has met with Sarri in St. Petersburg and agreed all the contract. If the clause expires Thursday, I think we may cave in and pay it.

Of course it's gonna be biased towards what might not work under him for Chelsea. There are also other posts where it says Sarri is the perfect fit, they won't talk about what could go wrong. At this moment, it's all just a guesswork and most of the things that we're expecting under Sarri (mainly personnel) are going to be way different when we play our first game under him. However, if he can install the system here, teams would be scared! If he isn't able to, he'll be sacked. It's all a wait and watch right now, but it certainly is exciting. Well all posts/articles are opinionated, whats different ... I posted it because most of them are targeted towards how he is a good choice where this goes the other way around ... which is basically stating where we need to strengthen and do it big time. Ayioros 76
But it's ridiculous, Napoli has already confirmed Ancelotti. They are not in position of strenght. If Chelsea refuse to pay the 8M clause, what will Napoli does ? Keep Sarri and Ancelloti on the bench next season ? This case is an absolute joke. I understand its frustrating for us because we just want the club pay the clause and go forward. But i can understand the club too, pay a clause for a coach who was clear from his club it's a nonsense. nachikethas

Bizarre The haven't really sacked him though. His contract is still up and running until the club terminates it. They know Chelsea are desperate so they're gonna hold out. They have 2 suitors in Zenit and Chelsea. If Chelsea don't pay it, he'll probably be off to Zenit who are ready to pay the clause. That's a pretty strong position for Napoli.
