There's likely some arrivals that he doesn't have much of a say in, but is it really a coincidence we suddenly chase Serie A players and targetmen as soon as a manager from Italy with a track record for using a targetman comes in?

Of the 13 first team players that have arrived since Conte has took over, only 4 of them are from Serie A. Of those 4, only 3 had no previous links to Chelsea. Zappacosta, Alonso and Emerson. Of those 3, only Alonso is a first team regular. Emerson has only played in 6 matches despite Alonso's struggles and despite the fact that Conte wanted to replace Alonso with Sandro.  If that is the case, and it seems pretty reasonable to say that Conte wanted to replace Alonso, only two of those signings seem to have been met with approval.But approval should not be confused with power. As the Matic deal very clearly demonstrates, the club make decisions without Conte's approval. If they didn't, Matic would still be here as a backup player as Conte publicly stated that it was his wish to keep Matic here so he could ease Bakayoko into the first team.

With regards to the pursuit of targetmen,the club may have pursued a targetman to help Conte out, but the club needed a back-up striker. Batshuayi just didn't cut it and Chelsea are no stranger to targetmen. Giroud is a quality backup striker, and Conte probably offered no resistance to the purchase, but that doesn't mean he was a Conte buy.

You're right it's not a coincidence that we were linked to Serie A players. But that's because the press use transfer stories generate interest. It's no coincidence that media members who have no clue about what is going on would link Chelsea to Serie A players. It's why we have been linked to Jorginho. We all know that he is going to be a City player, but because it looks like Sarri is going to be our next manager, the press have linked us with Jorginho.

I mean if reports are true that Sarri really pushing for the job im sure he thinks he can work the magic with most of our squad. I dont think he expect Chelsea to bring him a new team along with him. 

Was Napolis team full off one touch players before Sarri came or did he make them able to play one-two touch attacking football? Genuine question. 

The difference between Sarri and Pep (What i have been reading from Napoli fans) is that Pep buy specific players for his team and tactics while Sarri coaches his players to fit his team and tactics.

With him supposedly telling the club he ants to bring 5 players with him (yeah right) why would one be a 32 year old Raul Albiol? AND KK? OK I would love KK next to Rudi but ffs we never paid up for him the plast 2 seasons when he was alot cheaper than he will be now. I can see us going for the aging Raul Albiol  even with our stockpile of CBs

Lets hope Sarri can talk us into Jorginho & KK but I wont hold my breath

This is an opinionated post. Of course it's gonna be biased towards what might not work under him for Chelsea. There are also other posts where it says Sarri is the perfect fit, they won't talk about what could go wrong. 

 

At this moment, it's all just a guesswork and most of the things that we're expecting under Sarri (mainly personnel) are going to be way different when we play our first game under him. 

 

However, if he can install the system here, teams would be scared! If he isn't able to, he'll be sacked. It's all a wait and watch right now, but it certainly is exciting.

I think that is absolute BS. Not even Hazard would have the audacity to outright tell the board which manager to hire. I might be slightly biased here (lol) but I feel that Eden Hazard has earned the right to at least comment on this. He has stayed at the club year after year despite us playing defensive football. Now there's a chance we'll get attack-minded coach so yeah, give him at least a chance to state his opinion on the issue. This is Eden Hazard we're talking about, the best and most talented player at the club, and not some random mediocre player like Bakayoko who's opinions obviously would be ignored altogether.

Its natural for a player to want to play better and in a different way and I dont mind him having thoughts about changing manager etc but IMOI think heshould have kept his opinions to himself and not come out in the media about it. Him and Tibo aren't daft. They know exactly what they're doing media wise.

What I think he should have done is voiced his opinions 1st to Conte. Had a straight conversation with him.

IF that didn't achieve anything then he obviously knows Roman - have a word in his ear hole. Say 'Look I'll be honest. I love playing here etc but I'm not happy blah blah...'

Roman must love Eden as hes a supporter too. He would have had a meeting with Conte saying 'What can we do about it?'

I just dont like hearing all the inside negativity coming out of the players mouths. They all can't agree with Conte leaving and it causes bad feelings between each other. It is a form of player power and its not the 1st time we have had it.
