He's very good but pushes too much....it can be great for a medium team, not for a top one not used to be squeezed as a lemon. When he started with Juventus, the club did not win anything for a few years....after 3 years players have enough of him

We are in a catch 22 situation. We know that getting our character/identity back is the main thing then having managers that suits US. But then we need a  manager to get us into that situation. So whoever we get we need him to think/LOVE chelsea and not just use us to play with and boost his ego.

The problem I have here is, and bare with me because I know it's a bit cliche, but he's only done it in Italy?

I know what he did with Juventus in Italy and I take nothing away from that at all. Just like I don't take it away from Guardiola despite the usual 'team of world class winners' cliche.

But this is Chelsea FC. The notion of time, patience and 'see the job out' don't exist in this club. Not going to go in-depth of whether it's a correct system or not, but if I understand correctly about Conte's approach (and even Allegri), its that you're not going to get results overnight (which contrary to what anyone says is exactly what most fans expect of us now). There's going to be a adjustment period and there's going to be times where the team will under perform for whatever reasons. And as per, we'll get an itchy trigger finger and that's another one who bites the dust.

Here's the caveat; ask me to name an alternative and I'm clueless. There's such a narrow pool of managers There are few managers who would earn the trust of Roman & his loonies to be backed through struggle and strife.

Who's the other alternative? Simeone? He's only done it in Spain.

Ranieri couldn't even do it in Italy or in Spain, or even with Greece against Faroe Islands (twice). Pochettino was sacked from Espanyol after they were at the bottom of the league. Now they are 1st and 2nd in England !

I honestly think that manager's will get time here, if they show a positive direction of what they are trying to do.

Romans itchy trigger finger is quite exaggerated in my opinion, only need to look at AVB and Jose, he held on for as long as he could with both and only pulled the trigger when he little choice.

As a player I did like this role and going forward to replace the striker. That attacking bent was always in my mentality as a player and now as a Coach, as I always wanted to take the initiative. I say it’s better to lose a game by attacking – as we could’ve done at Lazio last week – than to draw while sitting behind the ball.

“As a player I won five Scudetti, the Champions League and everything there was to win, so I can only wish they follow me and do even better.

“It’s rare we go on the counter-attack, as we don’t have players with those characteristics. We study our opponents and how to limit their strengths, but still maintain our own strong points.
