Unfortunately, i don't think Hiddink has the tactical nous to go 1 on 1 with the likes of Pep or Jose in the Premier League. We need a manager who can go head on with the big boys.

What is the high on Simeone, though? He is way too similar to Mourinho in tactics and, i for one, do not like that style of play. I want us playing nice football, not defending against the big boys and getting red cards every other game. Simeone's Atletico are way too thug like in their approach at times and it's not something i am personally a fan of; if you are then fair enough.

Does anyone else feel that any new Chelsea manager will just be a puppet at the control & mercy of Emenalo and the club's hierarchy? We are kind of becoming a similar run club like Real Madrid. Emenalo is evolving to become the Pérez of Chelsea.

To be honest, I think Emenalo is the true puppet here in the hands of someone else (Granovskaya?). He gets all the blame and all the fingers are pointed at him, while I doubt he's responsible for all the decisions.

Hiddink went toe to toe with the best team in the history of football, and almost smashed them 2 or 3-0 had it not been for one of the wors refereeing performances ever. 

He IS old, but he hasn't lost quite as much as people try to make us believe. 

If no one is available, just give him a one or two year contract, establish a long term footbaling project, and let him prepare ground for the next manager and so on, no better manager for that, as he won't be asking for a long term contract.

might be easier with his style, to get us back towards the top, with a weaker squad than usual.

His job for City is no easy job. City is not hiring Pepe to win PL. Roberto Mancini is able to achieve that. With Guardiola, they don't need to pay 40m for a player that is worth no more than 20m, and If he do a good job City status around the globe will different. Thats a huge task. His easiest job would be United.

I don't understand how can one say the Man United job is the easiest job. Sure, elevating City's level and making them one of the elite clubs is a challenge but compare to the United job? The challenge is not exactly a hard challenge. City already have a strong, quality squad and play good football. All they need now is for a manager to make them consistent, to push them to the next level, similar to what Mourinho did with us 11-12 years ago which you quite rightly pointed out but unlike us, they already have the luxury of winning trophies in recent years.

United, on the other hand, are a sinking ship, play dull football and have a squad filled with average players (you can probably throw us into the category as well). They clearly need to do rebuild that team, not just selling and buying players but also changing their playing style and making them a strong force again (United have only won 1 trophy since 2011). There's clearly a bigger and tougher job to do there but of course, Guardiola doesn't fancy doing that. Instead, he's going to City where everything is pretty much laid out for him and he only needs to some things here and there before continuing the winning trail.

I'd rather do that then have someone for the sake of it and come was inter or even summer they've been sacked

He's managed 30 matches for Chelsea and has lost 1 match.

We can go after a rockstar manager, one that will fill the papers and get people talking, but Hiddink has proven that he can be good at Chelsea. He provides a calm when everything is going crazy and knows how to get to the players.

I see absolutely no reason to look elsewhere unless he doesn't want to come back.

Yeah but United make more money the City hence more buying power. World brand as well where players would rather come there then City.

United would have been by the far the easiest job me thinks.

United have big money, biggest club in the world alongside Real Madrid, they are respected and they would survive if Guardiola was a failure. To other side, this is the chance City have to upgrade their status. Guardiola can't afford to be failure. City squad is good, but as I said, they are a joke in Europe, their PL record last season was average at best. If City job is as easy as you think, I wonder why they are not rulling PL for fun or doing great in Europe. City is way harder than Bayern job.

Look at the defense and midfielders. Yaya, Fernando, Fernandinho, Mangala, Kolarov, Sagna, and much more. Nothing of greatness like Bayern or Barcelona was.

He needs to rebuild there and hence needs a lot of money to buy the player he wants. In which he will be competing with other teams with a lot of money as well.
