Rubber bullets 1,183
What about the rumoures of him moving to Brazil from some time ago?Broke down due to them unable to meet his wage demands. To b honest it seems Malouda will b like a leech and just stay at the club for one more year so he can get his wages every week even if he never gets played. Although I'm sure once in a while he will go to the media and demand he gets played more often.Didn't he say last year he wanted to get a one year extension so he will be guaranteed a place n France's 2014 world cup squad? That's why he wants to stay, its not about wanting to play for our club..

Tomo 21,751
We can't go throwing away experience whoever it is, have we learned nothing from laughing at Arsenal these last 7 years?
Jase 43,479
We can't go throwing away experience whoever it is, have we learned nothing from laughing at Arsenal these last 7 years? My thoughts exactly. However, think if we are letting them go, it means we will be bringing 1-2 players in to replace them. IF not, !

And Malouda isn't anymore imo. Will have no problem if Benayoun stays.
Term-X 7,891
Benayoun is the most unnecessary squad member right now, we are flooded in that position. RDM should be sacked on the spot if he's ever picked above Oscar.Malouda could come in handy though, with Marko Marin aka Jack Wilshere on the sidelines. termninja 5,290
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would also keep Malouda for this season just in case...if he leaves I won't be sad though
Bosnian Blue 2,471
We have enough experienced players in the squad even without Malouda. Cech, Cole, Terry, Lamps are the 'old guard', Ivanović and Mikel have been here also for quite a while, Essien is still there, Meireles is not a young player, Torres is 28... Flo is becoming worse and worse every season and getting rid of him should be one of the priorities, especially bearing in mind that we will probably sign another winger. But IMO afterall he'll stay one more season even though he did absolutely nothing for the last two years to deserve it. bababoom 4,478
I think we should sell Malouda, he's been playing like shit for a couple of years now, it's beyond a joke. When the big games come and we need that experience i'm sure Terry, Cole, Lampard and Cech will rise to the occasion.
Rubber bullets 1,183
You should not keep players just because of "experience". Experience should only be seen as a helpful tool, not a necessity. Kez 2,727
Malouda has shown the past 2 seasons that his "experience" is not needed here. CHOULO19 and Rubber bullets
Kojo 4,676
When did Malouda go bad?, a good example of how such a good player can make a massive u-turn. Age definitely caught up to him without a doubt, but he started well in the season and if i can remember he got a slight knock just like Essien did and them two came back and where fucking terrible. Stats 7,142
Why is there so much contempt towards Malouda? Yes, he is declining but he has had some good seasons at the club, IIRC being player of the year and finishing top scorer a couple seasons ago. Don't really think we need him here but the way some fans are treating him is ridiculous. He had contributions to us winning the Premier League and FA Cup and has had a very decent goal return in his spell here. Wish Malouda the best, regarding whether he sees out his contract or is forced to move on

Naked Mole Rat 437
We can't go throwing away experience whoever it is, have we learned nothing from laughing at Arsenal these last 7 years?Arsenal have been garbage because they've failed to keep their good players not necessarily because they've been throwing away experience. Besides, we have no lack of experience in our side at the moment, and Malouda's experience isn't really needed especially considering he won't play many games for the team anymore and he's pretty much non-existent half the times he does play for us. Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
he is unneccesarily on high wages. not needed simple, not being mean just not needed. xPetrCechx 13,571
Malouda has shown the past 2 seasons that his "experience" is not needed here. You need the minimum Ability to combine it well with the experience... you can't be only experienced without the minimum ability the perform at our (chelsea's) Level. Stats 7,142
At least 75% of people on these forums seem to dislike Malouda and think he is garbage, yet when Torres is criticized they are the same ones to defend him even though Malouda has done much more during his Chelsea career than Torres TorontoChelsea and francozola
